Congrats to the Summer Practice Challenge winners who finished at the end of summer! I could tell they all worked hard to achieve their goals. 🎉

We’re all set to go for our piano lessons at our new space! What a long weekend it’s been…Here’s a before and after picture. The grand piano got moved and tuned along with everything else, all the keyboards set to go, and the new (temporary) banner went up.

We’re excited for the students to see it today!

The new piano studio is definitely coming along!! The walls have been painted and carpeting has been added. All is left is the baseboards and to move in!

7 years ago I fell in love with teaching piano. Ever since I was 7 years old I knew I wanted to be a teacher but it took me years to learn that teaching piano was my calling.

In 2018 I started to gain some of my first piano students and my dream was becoming a reality as Alexa's Piano Lessons started to really boom. As I gained more students I got more inspiration to improve my lessons and create the best experience for the kids.

Fast forward to today, I have taught hundreds of students and my passions for my business hasn’t changed since day 1. I am venturing into my first storefront in two weeks from now (last photo is the new studio with fresh paint) and hiring piano teachers.

I am grateful for the amazing support from my students families as they support a local business to allow me to get to where I am today. Stay in tune for a grand opening of the new studio in a few weeks!

This is my first year teaching piano where some of my students have graduated high school. I watched this student of mine grow up since she was 12. Last week we had our last lesson as she moves into college. Congrats to the graduates of 2024! 🎉

📢 We're Hiring: Private Piano and Lab Teachers! 🎹

Position 1 (private piano teacher): We're looking for passionate and energetic piano teachers who are eager to share music with the next generation! Our classes are held in groups and we need a private piano teacher to teach each student individually in our separate private room. Teachers get to select their consistent day/time of the week they want to teach.

Position 2 (lab teacher): We don't require formal teaching experience for this position. Just proficiency (intermediate level) in piano and a passion for music! Our lab teacher works with our group classes in our lab room with kids ages 5-18. Lab teachers are designed to assign activities (from our curriculum) to students and guide them as needed.

Location: Chandler Blvd and 42nd St
Type: Part-time

Private piano teacher details:
- 5+ years of professional piano training/lessons
- 6+ months experience working with kids or teaching piano/music
- Willingness to work within our curriculum and reward programs
- Participate in our yearly recitals

Lab teacher details:
- 3+ years of professional piano/music training
- 16 years old+
- Willingness to work with our curriculum and reward programs

The sweetest gift I’ve gotten from a student! I was pleasantly surprised when I got a fruit bouquet delivery at my doorstep!

Congrats to June’s student of the month to B! 🎉🎉 You’ve been selected because of your huge improvements in practicing, playing, and musical ambition!

One of my longest taught students of 6 years is moving onto in person lessons in his current state (he lives out of state). It’s crazy seeing how much he’s grown over time. I’ve taught him for more than half his life (from ages 5 to 11)! It’s been an honor guiding him from the beginning of his piano journey and hope the best for his future.

The studio has two graduating seniors this year! It has been amazing seeing these two grow over the years. And they are both going to ASU next year!

We’re playing “Connect-A-Chord”! It’s the chord version of Scrabble!

It’s been 7 years since Alexa’s Piano Lessons has opened! Here’s a throwback to one of our first recitals in July 2018 (not many photos were taken in 2017). 7 years later, hundreds of students in and out, and thousands of lessons taught, here we are today!
