Hi! We’re Phoenix Book Company.

We’re a local, small, family-run business that specializes in great books at low prices!

Meet Jade, the founder of Phoenix Book Company. He’s been in the book business since 1993! After graduating from ASU, he worked at Bookmans for 5 years, then moved to another independent book store and began developing a direct-to-schools sales model. In 2000, he entered into a 5 year partnership with Changing Hands to keep growing the educational business model and expanded into national literacy programs.

On May 8, 2005 - Jade opened PBC with the goal of providing books for schools and literacy programs at great discounts. For 9 months, he basically lived at the warehouse -- his wife, Cori, came in on the weekends and evenings to help out.

In January 2006, Cori took the plunge into entrepreneurship and joined PBC as co-owner. We officially became a local mom-and-pop shop (as long as businesses and cats count as your kids - we think they do!)
