I had a moment the other day, with 19 students, where I looked at the room (& computer 😊) and thought about how special it was that 19 people woke up on a Monday morning and decided to start their day with me. I’ve been teaching yoga for over a decade and it still NEVER gets old knowing people appreciate what I have to offer and actually show up to experience it!!! What a gift!!! And what makes it even more special is that what I offer is something I care soooo deeply about, something that I make sure is true to me. There is always temptation to adjust myself and my teaching to fit other molds… but we know that would never work anyway 😉

She has a very fun class and transition planned for her goal 😃 Asana Exploration is a class geared towards students ready to take their practice a bit deeper by exploring transitions, inversions, and arm balances in a fun, inclusive, workshop style environment! This class is suitable to students who are comfortable in Level I and Open Level ⭐️

This class (and all our classes, really 🤗) is non-judgmental, does not make you feel intimidated, and is filled with friendly, encouraging students who will most likely be found cheering and clapping for you aka 🥹❤️🙏🏼⭐️

About Nicole ✨ Nicole (she/her) is a lover of joyful movement, mindful meditation, delicious food & culture, family & friends, and plenty of outdoor adventures! Nicole found yoga when her best friend brought her to class at hOMe yoga experience in Mahwah, NJ. Not only was yoga a useful tool to navigate increasing anxiety during the teenage years, it was the perfect practice to balance sports and movement, mental health, and spirituality. As years passed, life ebbed and flowed on and off the mat, but the yogic way of life remained the foundation for everything Nicole did and would become. Nicole moved to Vermont and then to Montana to pursue degrees in dietetics, nutrition, and sustainable food systems. Over a decade later, she returned home to the tri-state area and completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Jamie Surya Yoga Studio. Nicole is a practicing clinical dietitian, diabetes educator, and intuitive eating counselor and is passionate about fostering a safe and inclusive space for individuals of all paths of life to practice yoga and joyful movement. Trained in trauma-sensitive yoga for anxiety, depression, and disordered eating, Nicole weaves the transformative practice of yoga into every client and student interaction. Her hope is that her students leave the studio with a deeper appreciation and respect for their resilient body and the ability to stay present and grateful in this ever-changing world.

About Kristen 🫂 Kristen Campbell, a yoga teacher with a profound journey that blends a robust career in global marketing and brand building with a passionate commitment to health and wellness. Kristen was certified in 2024 with her 200hr YTT through Yoga Alliance certification from the Jamie Surya Yoga Studio, under Jamie Surya.

Born with an innate curiosity and a drive to excel, Kristen embarked on her career in global marketing, where she quickly rose through the ranks. She worked with several renowned brands, playing a pivotal role in crafting and executing strategies that elevated these brands on the global stage. Despite her professional success, Kristen felt a calling to connect more deeply with the community and individuals around her. Kristen joined her sister in partnership with a twenty year established brand Bergen Mama Publishing for Bergen County NJ.

However, it was personal health challenges that ultimately redirected Kristen’s path towards a deeper journey of healing and self-discovery. Seeking holistic approaches to wellness, she immersed herself in the study of yoga. Through yoga, she found not only physical healing, but also a profound sense of inner peace and connection.

Today, Kristen is a dedicated yoga teacher, sharing her heart and guiding others on their journeys toward holistic health and well-being. Her classes are infused with the same compassion and strategic thinking that defined her marketing career, making them uniquely powerful. A Note from Jamie: For those who have been in class the last couple of weeks, you know I’ve sustained a knee injury and have been limited in my ability to teach. At this moment, I need to take some time off to focus on healing and recovery. I will still be teaching a small number of gentle classes each week, but our fantastic team of instructors will continue to lead the majority of classes, ensuring you have the support and guidance you need. I encourage you to keep coming to your regular classes and maintaining your practice. This is always the best way to support me, the studio, and our instructors ❤️

Thank you for your understanding. Your support means the world to me, and I can’t wait to be back on the mat for my full schedule with you all :)

I’ve been offering teacher trainings for over 10 years and each training brings with it a unique, special energy that can never get put into words. One thing that remains a constant though, is my priority to create kind, inclusive, safe, and genuine yoga teachers. And wow did these yogis blow me away. This group was small but MIGHTY! The intimacy, connection, and love that bloomed will forever stay with me ❤️ To say I’m proud doesn’t cover it. To say I can’t wait for these yogis to share their gift with the world doesn’t cover it. No words will be able to describe the bond that is created within our teacher training.

As usual, my heart now has new, permanent residents within it ❤️

As I take the day to reflect, I am reminded of how honored I am that people trust me with this work. My heart and soul goes into all I do, but especially teacher training… I am sad to see it end, but excited to watch it all begin ✨✨✨✨

We will meet, share, move, and breathe as we process all that we carry in our minds, hearts, and bodies. Our space is compassionate and safe - move as you wish, find silence or share. This is a time to move inward, and a time to open yourself up to be with your grief and find love in your loss. Dress comfortably and if you’d like, bring an object or a picture that represents your loss.

Please remember loss comes in many forms: death, illness, divorce, separation, job loss, health, or loss of a pet. There’s no right way to grieve nor judgment as to what constitutes loss.

The pursuit of happiness is a common bond that unites us all. Nearly everyone on the planet is actively engaged in finding sustainable happiness. Still, regardless of our economic or social position, regardless of what we’ve acquired along the way, happiness seems to exist as a mysterious wind that comes in, fills us with joy, and then leave as unpredictably as when it arrived. We search for ways to capture it, to keep it around and within us for the long term, but inevitably it escapes us and we find ourselves searching again.

In this workshop, Bhante Sujatha teaches us that although we can’t buy or build happiness, we can cultivate a simple mindfulness practice in our daily lives that leads to a sustainable contentment which can permeate every aspect of our lives.

Be prepared to take your transitions and poses to the next level as we explore arm balances, inversions, and advanced progressions. Each class will lead up to an in-depth breakdown of a different “goal pose” each week that your instructor strategically prepared you for from start to finish. Modifications are still offered, making this class open to curious students who feel comfortable in Level I, students comfortable in Open Level who are ready for more, and advanced practitioners and instructors working on challenging inversions, arm balances, and difficult transitions 😊
