June was an absolute blast, packed with fitness fun and healthy activities! Here's a taste of what we got up to:

💧 Everyone loved our LIFE Pittsburgh Water Bottles!
👟 Walk with a Staff Buddy sessions were a hit.
🧘‍♂️ Sit n’ Be Fit Outside had us stretching and smiling in the sunshine.
🍎 Healthy Snacks with Shirley (Registered Dietician) kept our energy high.
🧁 Blender Muffins with Kate (Social Work) were a delicious treat!
🏐 Volleyball Tournament with Kathy (Occupational Therapy) brought out our competitive side.
💃 Armchair Disco with Meghan (Social Work) had us dancing in our seats.
🦛 Adult Hungry Hungry Hippos with Amy (Physical Therapy Assistant) was hilariously fun!

🎉✨ Our McKees Rocks Creekside Center celebrated prom this week, and it was an event to remember! 🌟💃🕺

From dancing and capturing beautiful photos to enjoying great music and even a special visit from our therapy dog, Ollie, everyone had an amazing time! 🐶🎶📸

🌈✨ What a blast! Participants got their creative juices flowing at our Riverside Center with a tie-dye craft activity, turning plain bags into vibrant works of art! From swirls to stripes, everyone added their own unique touch. Who knew tie-dye could be so much fun? 🌈 ✨

Earlier this month, our Allegheny Center Participants celebrated an International Week!! Thanks to our fabulous staff, Participants enjoyed an entire themed week, including special international cuisine prepared lovingly by our dietary staff. Participants helped to prepare snacks daily, traveled via documentaries, danced to music from around the world, and enjoyed entertainment! They ended the week with an "Italian Mother's Day" celebration, including freshly made pizzelles!

Participants at our McKees Rocks Riverside Center also had a grand time at the Carnival recently!! They enjoyed a truly entertaining experience of a performer juggling, hula hooping, and dancing on stilts!! They had custom made balloon animals and snacks, too! 🎡 🎟️🎪🤹‍♀️

Participants at our Allegheny Center enjoyed a special "Paint Night" themed activity this week! They had snacks and painted their canvases while listening to music! A good time was had by all! 💙💚🎨

Last month, LIFE Pittsburgh celebrated our Founder's Day! An annual anniversary celebration to look back on our past here at LIFE Pittsburgh and recognize what an amazing future we have ahead of us. Our Executive Director, Joann Gago, shared many fond memories of the past 26 years, explaining that being a part of LIFE Pittsburgh allows us to play a part in something bigger in this community.
We would like to congratulate, once again, all of our award winners at the Founder’s Day event and not only thank our five-, ten- and fifteen-year award recipients but also thank ALL of our LIFE Pittsburgh employees for their hard work and dedication.
