Why join us at VBS on Saturday mornings in July? Adorable goofballs like this are here to have fun, play, and learn with the kiddos in your life!

Next week is all about FRUSTRATION! Let's face it. We have ALL been frustrated about something in the past year! How do we deal with frustration? Is being frustrated a sin? How can we help others who are frustrated?

See you on July 17 from 10-11:30am
All ages welcome!

Photos from Pittsburgh Baptist Church's post 07/06/2021

Vacation Bible School started on Saturday with small numbers, but GIANT hearts! The kids who attended were greatly enriched and learned about anger as an emotion, and how we can help ourselves not sin in our anger.

We have an amazing batch of volunteers each week and on July 10th we will be talking about the emotion of jealousy. What is the difference between being jealous and envious? Why does the Bible say God is jealous? Is being jealous a sin?

10-11:30 each Saturday morning in July!
3100 Pioneer Ave, Pittsburgh, PA

Invite friends, neighbors, and anyone you believe would benefit from VBS. We are targeting ages 3-10, but are not limited to that age group. All are welcome!

Would you like to be a blessing to someone in your community? Would you like to bless someone in your community? Below is an introduction to PBC Delivers, a new ministry through Pittsburgh Baptist Church. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

First of all, we would like to thank those that have already let us know that you would like to be a part of this exciting new ministry we are starting. It is a blessing to know that we have people who truly care about those in need and are willing to help provide meals to people.

As we have briefly communicated previously we are starting a wonderful new ministry called PBC Delivers as a way to provide pre-cooked meals to those that are in need. It could be for someone you know that needs one or for yourself if you feel the need. This will be done once a month to start as we see how the program goes and work out any issues that we have. As of now, we are thinking it will be the last Saturday of the month and will start on February 27th.

We are asking for volunteers for 3 different parts of this ministry as follows:
Cooks/Food Suppliers. These people will cook the meals that we will deliver. It can either be a home-cooked meal or something that has been purchased and can then be supplied. In addition to the meals, we would also be looking for people to provide cookies as a dessert. The cookies could be provided with the meal by the cook/food supplier or people could just sign up to give the cookies. We will provide empty containers that the food will be packaged in and the cook/food supplier will be responsible to come to pick up the containers at the church the week before the meal is to be delivered. They will also be responsible for bringing the meals to church on the designated delivery date. As we have said we will try to suggest menu recommendations each month so we can have some consistency in the meals we provide. The cooks may even be provided with a recipe if they would like to use it.
Food Delivery. These people will come to the church on the designated delivery day/date and be responsible for delivering the meals to the recipients. We have a delivery coordinator so once someone has signed up to be a delivery person they will be contacted by the delivery coordinator to ensure they are available and provide some details. They will have to be at the church on the delivery day/date and then will be given a delivery route for the meals.
Food recipient information. We will be asking the members of the church to provide potential recipients for the meals. This could be a person or family that you know could use a meal or someone that might just need a break for the night, or yourself if you have the need at that time. There are many reasons that people might need a meal so we will leave it up to you to decide who and when. This is just as important as cooking and delivering because if we don't have recipients then we will not be able to provide the ministry. We have talked about communicating this publicly but to start we would just like to have the church submit recipients so we can make sure we are able to accommodate all that might need it.
Please pray about this. Please think about the needs of your neighbor or your community or the city. Please help us to "deliver"...it may be a meal but we can also try to make this a delivery of love and a delivery of the gospel in some way. We need your help. We need people to start this ministry and we also need people to SUSTAIN this ministry. We are passionate about the potential for this to be a wonderful success but we need you to help us make it happen. Let's be a bright light in a dark world.

If you have any questions or want to submit your name for a part of this ministry please use the following email to send us a message. Do not send an email to Jack.
