ELPC Young Adults

We join together to take part in this dynamic ministry and to seek to better understand, to worship and to serve the Holy.

The Young Adults Group at East Liberty Presbyterian Church (Pittsburgh) provides a place for all those in their 20's - 30's to grow together in Christian discipleship, fellowship, learning, and service. The Young Adult Ministry welcomes ALL adults post-high school through about age 40 – we are students, professionals, married, single, partnered, with or without children and from different races, s

There are so many things we could say, but this song that was shared in the May 2021 Presbyterian Outlook captures the whole day, our stories, our conversations and the love ❤️ This was the Happy Wanderers first event since Dec 2019, a lot has happened since then and today we just enjoyed the moment and each other. Happy Wanderers, thank you for letting us share your trip with you!

“God, we love this congregation!”

On this day, we’re glad to see
friends and neighbors,
gathered, praying,
as a church community.
Young and old, we join in worship—
some in-person, some online.
We are drawn by faith and friendship
to this blessed place and time.

In this year with all its trials,
there are things that we have missed.
Still, in Christ, you’ve walked beside us;
by your Spirit, we’ve been blessed.
Love’s our history, love’s our vision,
Love’s the work we’re called to do.
Bless us as our congregation
moves together, serving you.

Tune: Ludwig van Beethoven, 1824 (“Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee”)

Each month, people from all over the region stroll Penn Avenue between the 4800 and 5500 blocks to meet with artists and local business owners. We are back IRL! Come on down to Penn Ave and see some Art in Person!!!!

Phantasmagoricals: The Art of Kevin Osterhout
Kevin’s art depicts intertwining, curious relationships, with colorful figures flowing into and out of each other, transforming each other in the process. The unexpected interrupts and upends expectations in renderings of difference and, sometimes, of disorder. In Kevin’s drawings, the playful and the disruptive, the odd and the disturbing, unite in fluid design without defined starting or ending points.
After many months of sobriety, Kevin died at age 30 in August 2020 of accidental heroin/fentanyl poisoning.
