Dear Sapporo Family,
On September 22nd, my beloved parents became victims of what detectives believe was a racially motivated home invasion and robbery.
They came to this country with no money and no English speaking skills. 30 years ago, they saved enough from working in restaurants to open up their own, Sapporo's. The blood, sweat, and tears are what made a better life for them and dreams come true for us siblings. They ARE the American dream, and in one night, that dream has been crushed with nearly everything they have stolen from them.
I'm nauseated while typing this out. They are not okay. They are living in fear. Constantly asking why them when they've worked so hard. My siblings and I made a GoFundMe (link below) to help cover some of what they have lost. Contributing and/or sharing is all that I ask. To my fellow Asian Americans, stay vigilant and protect each other. 💔
