Hey Facebook friends, management here from DeLuca's Diner. Someone has posted a very nasty post about our establishment that is completely wrong on so many levels. I am not even going to justify her with a response. I will say this; DeLuca's is a wonderful place that has amazing workers, homemade food that is bought locally and has one of the hardest working owners I have ever seen.
DeLuca's Diner has been in business for over 40 years with up's and down's. The pandemic being one of the worst to this date. The owner struggled through and after the pandemic but with perseverance made it through such a tough road. Her goal is to provide locals and out of towners with the best atmosphere, clean environment, great staff and the best food possible.
Is DeLuca's a perfect business? No, but no business is perfect. I can tell you that its staff and owner are the hardest workers I have ever seen or worked with!
We had an incident in our establishment today that we tried to rectify, but the customer wanted to hear no part of it and made a large scene and then posted a nasty Facebook post. I am the manager she speaks of in her post and I DID try to rationally speak to her and I was completely honest with her. Sorry she did not accept this and decided to publicly shame a small hardworking local family owned diner. DeLuca's is a very clean establishment, it is an old building but very clean from front to back. The owner, management and the staff take great pride in this and if you have ever been to DeLuca's you know that our staff members are always moving, serving and cleaning. Everything is out in the open for customers to see, we have nothing to hide. Hopefully our customers will see the bigger picture here and continue to support DeLuca's Diner. We love being in business in Pittsburgh and to serve our customers!!
