Happy National Dog Day!!

Today is Women’s Equality Day! A day that commemorates when the 19th Amendment to The United States Constitution was signed into law, officially granting women the constitutional right to vote. Today we celebrate women’s equality and continue to highlight the ongoing efforts in establishing full gender equality.

One of our assignments for our pharmacy students is to formulate, test, name, and sell a milkshake.

Meet Jesse, a P4 APPE student, who has completed her milkshake assignment. Hieber’s is very excited to introduce, the Nutty Razz milkshake!!

Meet another one of our amazing interns, Frankie! She attends Pittsburgh University and is soon to graduate in 2025! Thanks for being part of the Hieber’s family!

Everyone meet Max! He graduated from Hampton High School in 2019 and will be graduating with a dual PharmD/MBA in May of 2025 from Duquesne University. Max intends to go into either the pharmaceutical industry or pharmacy management.

It’s been a busy week at Hieber’s! Today, Rosemary and Simone .sweeney were invited to speak about compounding pharmacy and being an owner. Simone gave first hand experience to the high school students participating in the camp what it’s like being not only a candidate but an intern at Hieber’s.

It’s a unique experience to be able to showcase what we do to future students! Simone also was 🔥 at speaking today! Hopefully one day, you’ll see her in the academia side of pharmacy!

Should we post more about what compounding really is and how we are changing healthcare and community pharmacy?

Today, I (Rosemary!) took my two APPE students l, and Laura on a little field trip.

Students barely get exposure to compounded medications so we make sure to give them every opportunity that comes along to see the importance in what we do. We don’t just make medications, we impart health and well-being in our community!

HIebers has students from (my Alma Mater!) and to help transition them from student to pharmacist! Community pharmacies are integral to the development of professionals as well as the most accessible form of healthcare to the community (human or animal). Hey everyone! We’ve been doing a lot of preparing for the new opening. If we miss your call, or if the line disconnects. It’s not you, it’s us. As we move to the new location, unfortunately, the phone and fax lines have been impacted. We are working on minimizing confusion and correcting the issue. Opening up a new pharmacy isn’t easy, but each day we’ve become closer to opening our new doors. While it’s too soon to put an exact date on our opening, so stay tuned for more information to come!
