Doyo no Ushi no Hi, a traditional summer day in Japan, is coming soon! It’s July 24th and August 5th this year! On this special day, We eat Unaju (Grilled eel served over a bed of steamed rice) so that we won’t suffer from summer heat! We also have Kabayaki style! Enjoy our Unaju and Unagi Kabayaki right here in Pittsburgh!

It’s a day to celebrate the growth of children and to wish them good health and happiness! Carp streamers, known as “koinobori” in Japanese, are raised during Children’s Day in Japan as symbolic decorations.
