Comin' in Hot!🔥 Saturdays temps reached close to 100 degrees, but a little heat didn't stop Emily & Christian from having the best day of their lives. We covered a lot of ground from the stunning architecture of Heinz Chapel, to the historic Grand Concourse, and ended the night knocking over pins at Arsenal Lanes. 🎳 It was an honor to be a part of such a beautifully unique wedding. Congratulations to you both!

I am incredibly excited to share some images this iconic Pittsburgh engagement shoot! Marissa & Shane traveled all the way from Harrisburg for this session and they took the city by storm! We squeezed in as many locations and poses as we possibly could, and I am absolutely thrilled with how it turned out. If I wasn't excited enough already for their wedding in October, this just sealed the deal! 🙌🏻

What a way to kick off the month of June! Erin & Marin seriously had a picture perfect wedding day. The weather was gorgeous, the venue looked stunning, and it was amazing to witness their two families coming together. The love they have for one another was evident. Although their wedding was not in New Orleans, it was an essential part of Amy & Marks love story. They hired a second-line band to parade from the ceremony to the cocktail hour. A second line is a New Orleans tradition of a dancing parade. The bride and groom are the first line. The band, friends, and family are the second line. On each seat was a handkerchief with a blue embroider "M" for guests to wave in celebration during the second line. Amy made their traditional second-line umbrellas and a parade hat complete with many gems and feathers. This was definitely one of the most unique traditions that I've captured on a wedding day, and it was an absolute blast!

Hey, Derek here!👋🏻 It's been a while since I've showed my face on social media. Typically I don't like many photos of myself (why I'm always on the other side of the camera lol) but this photo captured of me had me pleasantly surprised. Bonus points to her for nailing focus and exposure on an all manual film camera!

One of our favorite spots in Lawrenceville is Long Story Short (the former Cinderlands Foederhouse). A few weeks ago, our night out turned into a fun lil photo sesh on film! I'm really loving the juxtaposition of brick with the modern neon lights. It really made for some unique portraits of Laura and awesome atmosphere!

Engagement season is back in full swing baby! What better way to spend a Sunday evening than enjoying the beautiful weather and getting to know such a sweet couple. So excited to celebrate with Becca & Jeff this August!

With all of the thunderstorm activity we've been experiencing lately, it made me think of Carissa and Sean's wedding last year. The weather changed so much throughout the day, it definitely gave us the opportunity to capture many unique photos from sunshine and flowers to rain and thunderstorms.

Happy Film Friday! I recently got my scans back from a recent trip to Key West and I especially love how these 2 photos turned out of Laura. We only had 5 minutes before dinner so we quickly took advantage of the good light. So glad we did!

Putting the finishing touches on Lena & Zach's wintery wedding today! Phipps at blue hour with snow on the ground sure is a visual treat. With temps in the 70's this week, it makes me wonder if we'll see snow again before Spring in Pittsburgh. What do you think?
