Thursday night sunset in South Park was spectacular!!
The first image is the Grand Canyon’s Watchtower at sunset and the second image is late morning the next day.
Our next stop was the Grand Canyon. We made it to the east entrance right before sunset. What a first view of the canyon!
Another late afternoon in Bryce Canyon National Park Park. The light was awesome!!

This is one of the new juvenile eagles at Canonsburg Lake. He’s pretty big for 3 months old!
Late afternoon at Bryce Canyon.
After visiting Zion National Park, we moved on to Bryce National Park. We ended up with another beautiful day. Some puffy clouds rolled into the area. This helped make for some great images.
Here are two male desert bighorn sheep feeling each other out to see who should be the dominant male of the herd.

On the way out of Zion National Park, I stopped to take in this awesome view.
On the way out of Zion National Park at sunset we saw a small herd of desert bighorn sheep.
This is the view from the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive in Zion National Park.
The next day of our trip,we entered Zion National Park through the Kolob Canyon s section. What a gorgeous day to visit the park. The red rock was an absolutely beautiful landscape to experience.
When we traveled out west, our first stop was at The Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada. The park had a beautiful landscape of bright red Aztec sandstone. We came across a few of the desert bighorn sheep that roam the park.
Great view of the snow on top of the Rocky Mountains as we flew out west. What a beautiful sight through the clouds!
The female eagle leaves while the male eagle stays at the nest.
While we were at Ogelbay Park, we stopped at the Good Zoo. Here is a Cotton Top Tamarin which is a small primate from South America. They are on the endangered list.
I stopped at Canonsburg Lake and found the male and female eagle hanging out in their favorite tree. After about 10 minutes the male flew across the the lake and sat in the tree across from me.
Evening shot over stormy Pittsburgh!
Here are a few more images from our trip to Longwood Gardens. There were many pollinators buzzing around these beautiful flowers.
We took a trip to Longwood Gardens in eastern Pennsylvania. The gardens were absolutely beautiful!! The spring flowers were in full bloom. Between the dogwoods and cherry blossom trees and all of the flowers, I’m not sure which were prettier. These gardens are well worth the trip!!
This is the Bistline Covered Bridge and is located in Perry County, Pa. It is 60 feet long and crosses over French Creek.
Here is another image from the crazy weather pattern we had this past week. This was at sunset as the storm had just passed through and left a break in the clouds for the sun to shine upon the city.
I went up to Mount Washington as rain storms were passing over the city. As I got there, a storm had just passed through and the sun peeked out through a break in the clouds. All of a sudden, not one but two rainbows appeared. I was able to get this shot before they disappeared. What a cool thing to see!
Stare down with a beautiful buffalo at the South Park Buffalo Preserve.
The male eagle was hanging out in the tree adjacent to the nest. From this viewpoint he could watch the osprey that was circling overhead.
Here is how the fog looked over the city of Pittsburgh yesterday morning!
This is another of my favorite images from last week’s walk around Canonsburg Lake. This is the male eagle flying from the dam to the nest.
This past week I stopped at Canonsburg Lake and saw the male eagle flying over my head. He landed across the water from where I was standing. After 15 minutes being perched in the tree, he suddenly dove to the water for a fish. Even though he came up empty handed, I was able to get this image of him during the dive. This has become one of my favorite images this year.
I went to the Raccoon State Park Wildflower Preserve to see which flowers were in bloom. Here are a few we saw. The first image is of a bee inspecting the Virginia Bluebells. The second is of some trilliums in among the Virginia Bluebells. The final images is of some golden Ragworts.
We took a ride to Oglebay Park in Wheeling,West Virginia. The spring flowers were out and the tulips were just beautiful.
