Learning to listen to my gut, to trust my instincts. My instincts tell me this is done. I’m in love with this painting.

Here’s an update on the progress happening on this swamp painting. It’s hard to describe the joy it brings me to paint these trees. And thank you to everyone who came out to share our love of Louisiana culture and our love for the artistic community. And above all, for your support of Radiant Hall, a nonprofit organization near and dear to my heart, of which I am on the board, which not only provides affordable studio space to artists, but also builds a community of creatives ❤️

Here’s today’s progress
Starting a new painting today. Each painting is created with intention. I have decided to begin this painting by starting with the negative space.
What is negative space? I’d like to hear your thoughts. Please discuss.
You don’t have to be an artist to have input. Just want to hear what “negative space” means to each of you.
This painting will be heading to Quebec as part of an invitational exhibit. More details to follow.
