Honoring a legacy of alumni connections at the Tepper School.

John Sengenberger has epitomized the Tepper School's commitment to its alumni for more than two decades. This September, however, the Executive Director of Alumni Relations will retire after 23 years with the school.

Sengenberger arrived at GSIA in 2001 as its inaugural director of alumni relations. During his tenure, he implemented numerous pivotal programs, events, and organizations. His efforts to connect with alumni globally have led him to attend more than 1,000 events!

“Witnessing alumni embrace each other at Alumni Reunion Weekend, whether after one year or fifty, always filled me with immense satisfaction,” said Sengenberger.

To honor John’s tenure, the Tepper School, alongside current and former Alumni Board members, is establishing the John Sengenberger Alumni Engagement Endowed Fund to recognize his exceptional contributions.

Rubab Jafry O'Connor's theme for the “Business Leadership Endeavor,” (BLE) class was grit, emotional intelligence, and behavioral skills.

O’Connor, distinguished professor of management at , has created a three-year sequence that spans undergraduates’ first year, sophomore, and junior years. Battling Deepfakes: Is Blockchain the Answer?

One technological tool that may be useful in identifying or preventing misinformation is blockchain— a database technology originated in 2008 that records and stores information in blocks of data that are linked, or “chained,” together. The software is free and open source, which makes it available to the public.

He said that also leads to questions like how to determine thresholds based on content, intention, creator, and who a video depicts.
