Don't let them fly to far away from you sides. The horizontal handles are the traditional chest press position that engages the larger, stronger chest muscle (more percent of it). SHOUT OUT LOOOOOUUUUD who has smashed her dumbbell chest press Christmas goal with an amazing 5 reps of pressing with 80 pound dumbbells....in each hand! That's so intense and impressive. I love this girl and all her hard work. What a pleasure it's been to be a part of the transformation π

Two and half years ago a man walked into Affronti Fitness looking for personal training. His journey has been one of consistency, hard work, and a great friendship.
We started with basic movements to inspire learning and form and was careful not to go too fast too soon. Then the pandemic hit! Darienne stuck with three days a week of virtual training and never lost a step. When we all came back to the gym, the tempo was stepped up, and we focused on lots of weight lifting. The results are amazing and absolutely visible. Darienne is a genuine inspiration.

Do they? You bet! They will both work, but consider the terrain and your sole, sort of like a car or truck and it's traction and feedback that you'd receive. They can all be used wherever, but the aggressive tred design on the yellow sneaker will keep you feeling like a billygoat on trails, while the sleek sole of the red and blue sneaker will make you feel like a street cheetah π

Just wondering what some folks were doing at 630am today. Sleeping? Shower and breakfast for the commute to work. Nothing wrong with that. Gotta live life, but what if you went to bed on hour earlier and then got up one hour earlier. Doesn't need to be in the morning. It can what your schedule is. My friend Rick is on his second year with . First year was weight loss (40 pounds). His second year (currently) he wants to lift weights. Today he achieved a HUGE milestone: lifting more weight than he ever has on bench press and is that much closer to his Christmas goal. What a way to start off a Monday! I hope the of my friends have had a wonderful day. I'd like to challenge someone out there to overcome the unknown and give us a callπ.
This is my friend and client who has been sticking with the process of change. She doesn't give up, is a hoot to talk to, and I am proud and happy to call her my friend. Today she is down 13 pounds and beat her old bench press repetition record by 5 REPS! WOW! She is losing weight AND getting stronger. We were so pumped this morning. Running season is almost here for me. It's time for biscuit belly to change things upπ. I typically rotate training style and goals within the year and seasons. Winter I eat and lift. When spring hits, I start running on the treadmill and do more high intensity, more reps and less rest lifting. Helps to keep things fresh. Run training has been as far as u can get in 20 minutes. Next week will be intervals, and after that will be...whatever I want LOL. I have a plan, but I also listen to my body.

As I age and realize my own limits and life stages, I like to remind myself of how well I am doing, fitness wise at least LOL. Exercise has been a part of my daily routine since I was 13. I'm going to be 47 this year, and besides the occasional sore joint I'm feeling great and doing great. We tried making poke bowls because they are delicious in the stores. Ours weren't so much LOL. My much better half made these up. Ours has seasoned ground chicken, rice, tomatoes, corn, and beans. Figure you can put anything you'd like in there to prep according to tastes. Keep it simple and nutritional though (cookies don't get a spaceπ€£).
