❤️We get by with a lil help from our friends❤️We cook dinner for the Guardian Angel women & children’s shelters every Tuesday. So what an incredible treat when the amazingly talented Darrin from Biker Dude Burgers comes all the way out to Moe Joe's, armed with tons of his own delicious food, and cooks all of their meals with our loved cook Edge Holt, this past Tuesday! Darrin, you are amazing! Thank you for feeding all these women & children an extra special, scrumptious, hot meal! And thank you for then also feeding all of us! It’s hearts like yours that make this world wonderful! You are the cat’s meow!

A recipe developed by Stu when we got our first grill back in the college years & one of our first items on our menu 19 years ago: The Jack & Coke New York Strip. 12oz prime strip marinated in Coca Cola, cooked to your specifications, & smothered in our Jack Daniel’s bourbon sauce. Ask to add caramelized onions, it’s so delicious💜💚💛

Holy mackerel we absolutely did not see this coming! Congratulations my Moe Joe's family on being awarded “Restaurant of the Year” last night🥹💜💛💚. Carlos & I were sitting there thinking, what a lovely speech by Kristin McCabe Briese, then wait…did she just say comedy? Cajun? Key lime pie? Ohhhh my goodness 😳 nooo, wait what’s happening?! Ya’ll tricked me🤣, we just thought you wanted us there because we’re a good time at parties haha! My apologies I didn’t have any kind of real formed words coming out of my mouth at the podium & just super awkward thank you’s mixed with tears looking at proud Carlos’s face. So I just really want to say thank you 🙏❤️ from all of us at the little Cajun place, thank you with all our hearts. I’m probably going to cuddle with this award in bed at night.

It’s Pies for Eyes first responders delivery day so Chef Charlie surprised me with “Jamie Fuel” before our road trip 🥹🫶 he even picked the flowers from his garden🥰… which makes me the luckiest & most spoiled volunteer pie delivery lady, I’m pretty sure EVER in the history of ever! And off we go!
