When it comes to pregnancy, it's important to care for yourself and your baby. Here's what you should focus on...
🤰 Acupuncture care for mom and baby - Acupuncture can be helpful during pregnancy for multiple reasons including regulating your hormones, improving nausea, reducing the chance of miscarriage, and any discomforts including lower back and pelvic pain
🤰 Take prenatal vitamins - Everyone is different, but making sure you take prenatal vitamins and any additional vitamins you are missing is key to a healthy pregnancy
🤰 Exercise regularly - You don't need to run marathons or hit the gym every day, but moving your body daily for at least a walk is essential to keeping you and baby healthy
🤰 Drink plenty of water - You need more water than average to form amniotic fluid, produce extra blood, build new tissue, carry nutrients, enhance digestions, and flush out wastes and toxins
🤰 Nourish your body with a nutrient-dense diet - eating well is ESSENTIAL for you and baby. PERIOD!
🤰 Minimize stress - Stress may lead to high blood pressure during pregnancy, which can put you at risk for preeclampsia, premature birth, and other risks factors
It's important to focus on your car during this time because we want to make sure you have a healthy, beautiful pregnancy.

Have you heard about acupuncture & herbal remedies relieving your PCOS?
Acupuncture and Chinese herbs can aid in regulating periods for individuals with PCOS, a hormonal disorder causing irregular cycles, excessive hair growth, acne, and fertility issues. They offer potential benefits in a holistic approach.🧘🏻♀️
Hormonal Balance: Acupuncture can help regulate hormone
levels associated with PCOS, such as insulin, testosterone, luteinizing hormone (LH), and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). 👍🏻
Ovulation Induction: PCOS often involves anovulation, where the ovaries do not release eggs regularly.
Improved Blood Flow: Acupuncture has been shown to increase blood flow to the ovaries and uterus.
Reduced Insulin Resistance: Insulin resistance is commonly associated with PCOS and can contribute to hormonal imbalances.
Stress Reduction: Stress can exacerbate PCOS symptoms and disrupt hormonal balance.
Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine: Chinese herbs are often used in conjunction with acupuncture to complement the treatment of PCOS.
It's important to note that acupuncture and herbal treatments should be personalized and tailored to each individual's specific needs and underlying patterns of disharmony. It's advisable to consult with a qualified acupuncturist or TCM practitioner who specializes in fertility and PCOS to receive a thorough assessment and appropriate treatment plan.
Additionally, it's crucial to work collaboratively with your healthcare provider, such as a gynecologist or reproductive endocrinologist, to ensure an integrated approach that combines Western medical interventions with acupuncture and Chinese herbs. This can help optimize your overall treatment and management of PCOS.

Ever wondering what IUI does? Hear me out....
IUI, short for intrauterine insemination, is a fertility treatment designed to enhance the chances of fertilization and pregnancy. This procedure involves carefully introducing specially prepared s***m directly into a woman's uterus at the time of ovulation. By taking this approach, the goal is to create an environment conducive to successful fertilization and ultimately increase the likelihood of achieving pregnancy.
The process typically involves:
Ovulation induction: The woman may be given medication to stimulate the development of multiple follicles (small sacs in the ovaries that contain eggs).
S***m preparation: The male partner or a s***m donor provides a semen sample, which is then prepared in a laboratory to separate the s***m from the seminal fluid.
Insemination: The prepared s***m is then inserted into the uterus using a catheter, typically during ovulation when the eggs are released from the ovaries and travel down the fallopian tubes.
IUI is often recommended for couples who are having challenges with conceiving due to male factor infertility, cervical issues, or unexplained infertility.
Acupuncture may potentially help with IUI like....
Reducing stress
Improving blood flow
Regulating hormones
Enhancing immune function

Empowering the body, mind, and soul on this holistic voyage from PCOS to pregnancy👏🏻
While PCOS can make conception more challenging due to hormonal imbalances and irregular ovulation, there are natural approaches that can increase the chances of pregnancy. Such as.....
Lifestyle Modifications: Making certain lifestyle changes can positively impact PCOS and fertility.
Tracking Ovulation: Monitoring your menstrual cycles and tracking ovulation can help identify the most fertile times for conception.
Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM): Acupuncture and TCM can help regulate hormones, improve ovarian function, and promote regular ovulation.
Natural Supplements: Certain natural supplements may support fertility in individuals with PCOS.
Stress Reduction: High levels of stress can negatively impact hormone balance and ovulation. Engaging in stress-reducing activities, such as meditation, yoga, mindfulness, or engaging in hobbies, can help promote relaxation and improve fertility outcomes.
Supportive Therapies: Seeking emotional support through counseling or joining support groups can be beneficial during the fertility journey.
While these approaches can be helpful, it's important to note that every individual's fertility journey is unique.
If you are trying to conceive with PCOS without medication and have been unsuccessful, it is time to reach out to our team at OVA to see how we can better support you on your journey.

Unwind your mind, and leave your stress behind! ❤️
Stress and emotional factors can play a big part in infertility. When the body is under stress, it releases hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline that can interfere with reproductive hormones and the menstrual cycle, making it more difficult to conceive. 😞
Acupuncture can be an effective tool for reducing stress and supporting emotional well-being, which in turn can improve fertility outcomes. This has been shown to stimulate the release of endorphins, which are the body's natural painkillers and mood enhancers.
So saying hello, to less stress and anxiety, improved sleep, and promoting a sense of calm and relaxation.🛏
Many women report feeling more relaxed and supported during acupuncture treatments. The practitioner takes time to listen to their concerns and provides personalized care, which can help ease the stress and emotional burden of infertility.💆🏻♀️

Let's talk about what your symptoms are telling you about your hormone imbalance.....
We are all in this together so there is no need to be stressed AF!
💕Estrogen dominance occurs when the levels of estrogen in the body are too high relative to the levels of progesterone. This can occur in both women and men, and can be caused by a variety of factors.
In women, estrogen dominance can be caused by conditions such as polycystic o***y syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, and obesity.
In men, estrogen dominance can be caused by conditions such as obesity, liver disease, and certain medications.
💕Testosterone imbalance refers to the abnormal levels of testosterone in the body. There are two types of testosterone imbalances: low testosterone and high testosterone.
Low testosterone can cause symptoms such as low libido, erectile dysfunction, fatigue, decreased muscle mass, and decreased bone density.
High testosterone can cause symptoms such as acne, excess body hair, irregular menstrual cycles (PCOS) in women, deepening of the voice, and male-pattern baldness.
💕Cortisol is a hormone produced by the adrenal gland in response to stress. Cortisol imbalance occurs when the body produces too much or too little cortisol .It is important to note that cortisol levels naturally fluctuate throughout the day and can be affected by various factors such as sleep, exercise, and illness.
Acupuncture can be a BIG part of helping these imbalances!👏🏻
