Long ago the aliens came down (or the Indians traveled up) and taught the Indians about fashion. I design these dolls in my sleep which it turns out is cheaper than therapy. Here is a group shot of the last 2 weeks work. Each piece is 15x8 inches. I use old redwood fence boards run through a planer. I draw the golems in Corel Draw (no haters please) as vector files and use a Trotec laser to engrave the outlines....

This is the third birdhouse build I have done in the last month. This project combined laser cutting for the acrylic rings, and table saw/miter saw cutting for the slats. I used cedar here for the slats with stain and a tung oil finish. Not a big fan of cedar so far. Crazy the way it sucks up finish. I find finishing work to be quite tedious but is a necessary evil I suppose....

When I was on a tomb raiding expedition in Egypt I made a pencil rubbing of a hieroglyphic that looked like a fertility symbol (This is a lie). Today's project was to laser etch the graphic onto a 100 year old wooden book-binding plate. First I covered it with transfer paper, laser etched and then acrylic paint fill in each "cell". I then sprayed all with clear acrylic, several coats. About 4 hours worth of work.

Great to meet friends, new prospects and customers today at Biomed San Jose. We discussed some fascinating new approaches to some age old medical challenges. Kudos to my partner Debra for working the floor like she owns it. She does.

Happy Thanksgiving to our friends, customers, employees. We had an amazing potluck here at work today. Hope this holiday finds you in good health, cheer and spirits! Debra and I have 25 approx people over to the house tomorrow for Turkey and stuffing so should be a great time.
