Putting our Spring vegetable Garden together.

Fall is one of our Favorite season. Beautiful colors and so much to explore in nature. We explore a lot of Arts and Crafts activities during this time of the Year.
1. Fall tree with marble art leaves created by the kids. This is one of the most loved and popular art activity during Fall.
2. Exploring painting by using cotton balls to paint the trunk and leaves.
3. Some gluing practice with the leaf shape tree.

Field Trip to Joan's Farm done ✔️.

Today we harvested our Garden Potatoes. The kids took such great care of the plants. Very excited to harvest them:)

Teacher Appreciation Week and we feel the love.

Our Science Fair Event where all the families were invited. Students confidently demonstrated and or spoke about their science exhibit. A super awesome experience for everyone participating and attending. Our first family event in 2 years!!

Our First STEAM fair Day1 was a great hit. Our students picked a science topic (from what we have already learnt at school). Worked on their presentations, presented it to their peers and answered Questions.

Our First ever Hike and Yoga retreat was so relaxing. Thank you to all the Mom's that could make the time. Hoping to continue with the other batches every Year. It is so important to take some time out for yourself. To rejuvenate, reconnect, and to love yourself. Thanks Delia Cooper for conducting the hike, yoga and the guided meditation.

We believe we should take care of the environment, including plants and animals and Planet Earth on a daily basis. A few of the activities on our shelves, and some work that we have done this month.

Today's Day- from complex additions, to pounding egg shells, which will be used in our school garden. It was a wonderful day!

Today was a very special day at school. We planted our Spring/Summer garden. Kids helped with the whole process. From moving planters, to digging, to planting, watering, and cleaning after. We worked so well together.

We have been busy with learning about the Chinese New Year and making Valentine's Day gifts for our friends and family.

Today i read a story about an anthropologist who proposed a game to the kids in an African tribe. He put a basket full of fruit near a tree and told the kids that who ever got there first won the sweet fruits. When he told them to run they all took each others hands and ran together, then sat together enjoying their treats. When he asked them why they had run like that as one could have had all the fruits for himself they said: UBUNTU, how can one of us be happy if all the other ones are sad?

UBUNTU in the Xhosa culture (where my husband is from:) means: "I am because we are"

I truly enjoy when my young students take spontaneous brain breaks at the Peace Table. Yoga is a great way to get your body to re focus. This is part of the work period in our classroom.
