Still loving the chevron... thought it might be a but I think and are here to stay.
Goodbye sunken front living room with failing window. There were birds flying out of the house when we first went to go see the property that our client's purchased to . So, even though it doesn't LOOK like a huge difference, it is. We raised the floor to be all one level, put in a new window (and repaired a bunch of damage), new floor, smooth ceilings, paint, baseboard, case, railing, and furniture.

Another stair railing refresh💥
Since we had budget constraints (never... right?) on this owner's suite remodel we had to leave the footprint as is. We made darn sure then that it would be so they could finally enjoy their s**ce.

This hallway used to be dark and straight out of 1980's. Light and bright and timeless😍
I want texture and neutrals... but (even thought I'd love it) it can't be all white, because my kids will ruin it... anyone relate??

Thoughtful selections are so important to us.
Let's say we are designing a boy's bathroom remodel (pictured here picking out the shower deco tile )
Just with the tile ALONE we decide:
-matte or glossy?
-small, medium, or large format?
-layout?
-orientation?
-decorative accent?
-niche, shelves, or both?
-size of niche?
-grout color?
-grout size?
-bullnose or metal edging?
-if a sealer is used: natural or enhanced?

Basement fireplaces in are pretty much a NEED... ok, that's dramatic,
BUT...
Clients have wants/needs/wishes on every project and we help to classify them and make sure the budget and timeline works with what we decide. If you have to have a fireplace you have to budget for it. It also has to vent appropriately, be the correct size for the room, work with clearances fro mantels, tvs, flooring, and meet code for what the material is surrounding it.

Why use an Interior Designer???
“Interior Design is about trust, and trust is something I value and make the number one priority in my relationships with clients. I think a lot of people think it’s about expensive furniture or major renovation, it’s not. A good Designer doesn’t have to be highly expensive....that’s not who I want to be! I am not trying to make the space what I want it to be, I want it to be the dream of my client, in their budget (or less).
I work side by side with the contractor to ensure a project goes smoothly from initial consult to completion. That is something that truly sets me apart...I have learned some of the construction business, I can do home improvement things myself; I learned. I also pass along all of my trade discounts to clients. I believe I shouldn’t be making money off my client’s selections, I should be helping them get what they want at the best price possible!
I went to college for Interior Design, but growing as a Designer over the years working all sorts of budgets and spaces has shaped my ability to be relatable, aware of the stress involved, and fun to work with.
I am a mom of three kids, and they mean the world to me. They love being a part of these spaces, from “coming to work” (jobsite to see progress or a store to pick out art) or seeing the before and after pictures! I will get to know your family too, so when I select items/colors/lights for the space it’s what you never knew you wanted...and that’s the magic of using ME...an Interior Designer!”
