On , we hosted a First Aid Awareness & CPR/AED Training for Parishioners of OLSS. We are so glad to have more people trained in the lifesaving skills of First Aid & CPR!

October 16, 2021 is World Restart a Heart Day! The OLSS Healthcare Ministry will be hosting a First Aid Awareness and CPR/AED Training on October 16, 2021 (Saturday), 915AM-12:30PM at the Cultural Center.

This non-certifying course is open to all OLSS Parishioners interested in learning Basic CPR & First Aid Skills. Refreshments will be served.

Slots are LIMITED. Everyone who is interested are requested to RSVP by October 14, 2021 (Thursday). Interested parishioners may contact us by email at [email protected] to reserve their slot/s.

Healthy Mind, Healthy Heart Seminar SPEAKER SPOTLIGHT: Dr Mona Shah, a cardiologist with Baptist Heart Specialists, has been living in Jacksonville since 2006 after moving from Ohio. She was born and raised in Chicago and moved all over the Midwest during her medical training. In addition to cardiology, she became board-certified in integrative holistic medicine. She has seen a great result in treating not only a patient's physical symptoms but also working with them to make changes in their nutrition, stress level, and medications to improve their heart health.

A look back at February 12, 2015 when the OLSS HCM hosted a talk on Heart Disease in Women. Dr. Pamela Rama was our speaker. Then Miss Ponte Vedra Leila Sabet also graced the event.

Megan Weigel, DNP, is a nurse practitioner specializing in neurological care in Jacksonville Beach, FL, where she brings a unique integrative medicine and holistic nursing perspective to her practice, First Coast Integrative Medicine. She has been a Multiple Sclerosis certified nurse since 2005, and an NP for 18 years. She is also a board certified Advanced Practice Holistic Nurse. She completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona in the Fall of 2018 which complements her practice focus on wellness and holistic care. She is the co-founder of oMS Yoga, a non-profit organization that brings free yoga classes to people living with MS along the east coast.
