Large windows are a must if you are working on a new build. Opt for a full window/ door wall or multiple windows for visual interest. Keep in mind shades and curtains to frame the space.

Design tip: use smaller spaces like mud rooms, pantries, and powder baths so explore fun tile and paint colors. Not every room in your home has to have the same cabinet color and tile.

More often than not, our clients choose to get their furnishings delivered and installed in 2-3 “mini installs” to be able to enjoy their items potentially months before the final items arrive. We still have a few large pieces to install at our West University project but we were able to do this mini install for them before the holidays 🍁🌲

It’s the pretty details that matter ❤️ styling at the end of the project brings it all together and makes it feel complete.

This tile 🫶🏻 I love how matte tile brings a different feel to a space vs glossy. I love them both equally but certain spaces just call out differently during the design phase.

Shelves are such a great place to display family heirlooms, treasured memories, and personal elements. This particular client had some beautiful pieces from her husbands grandmother that we incorporated into the design to make it feel more personalized to their family. There’s definitely tasteful ways to display vs throwing things without intention on a shelf 👌🏻

Are you team minimalist or maximalist? There’s something so calming about uncluttered surfaces to me, so design tip: have outlets mounted onto cabinet bases for a less busy backsplash space!

If you didn’t know by now, my favorite design element is a mix of textures. Most of my designs incorporate wood, metal, stone, and textured fabrics for a balanced and visually interesting design without feeling too cluttered and overdone. 🙌🏻

I see some new faces around here so I thought Id reintroduce myself. I am Ashley Evans, owner and principal designer of get to know me below:
-I am a mom to two handsome, active boys.
-I am a health and gym nut-when I’m not working you’ll find me weightlifting
-I have lived in 4 states spread out across the country. I am from Florida, lived in CA for 8 years, moved to GA and now in TX. Living in so many different regions with differing design aesthetics has really shaped my design style and given me an advantage in seeing trends in the design world.
-If I could rescue all the pit bulls in the world I would.
-My husband and I met on Match.com
-I have an irrational fear of cockroaches 🪳( that fact I got the shivers seeing this emoji says it all 😂)

Textures are so important in a design to add dimension in a room and help it from falling flat. Some of my favorite are rattan, natural stone, hammered metals, and rustic woods. Take a look in your space and see where you can add a few textured elements!

I hope the green palette stays around for a very long time. There’s something about the organic feeling it gives that makes it feel so relaxing and soothing. If you’ve followed me for awhile or if you’re one of my amazing clients,then you know that neutrals and earth tones are my specialty. I would have no idea what to do with bright or jewel tones🤣🤣😅 so this is a PSA, don’t tell me you want purple in your space….🫣

This bathroom was designed with storage in mind! The perfect design for his and her spaces, including separate toilets! The key to a happy marriage may just be separate commodes 😂😂
