Aftermath of hurricane Ian. Totaly devastating... the best we can do to help these folks is to salvage thier unit we put in only months ago so they can take it with them to Kentucky. Our hearts go out to those affected. ❤

Service call on a Trane unit that's been struggling to satisfy the set temps. Trane said "foxtail Trane coils dont need cleaned". Have a look for yourself.

04/28/2022

Cleaning these coils up for the new owners. This house will smell 1000% better now. Coils looked like new after the cleaner did its work!!!

Todays we ran into a little bit of everything durring this service inspection. Rusted duct cover, burnt up capacitor, dirty coils, dirty intake filter, and a common wire disconected are some of the things we found wrong with this unit durring inspection. All is fixed and ready for the new owners. See our next post to see the video of the coils being cleaned.

Installed just in time before the owners leave to travel back north. A good peice of mind that they will not have any issues while they are out of town for the season, and many more to come.

Photos from Bay Breeze Cooling & Heating inc.'s post 03/18/2022

Well let's just say this job looked like a complete mess when we arrived. After inspecting the two 2017 Rheem units we found some issues with the previously done install. By the time we left we removed a sheet of bad duct board from the two units supply plenum pedestal, 5 gallons of sand, cleaned 2 condensers, 2 drain lines, straightened the two condensers, and used 2.5 gallons of mastic to create this masterpiece. Not to mention the customer made us brisket burgers for the good work! I'd say it was a good day!

02/19/2022

Look at the dirt coming out of this condenser! And this is the 2nd rinse after using our specialized coil cleaner. After a hour we finally got the coil completely cleaned. This should definitely improve the efficiency of this unit.

Our Newest install!

Photos from Bay Breeze Cooling & Heating inc.'s post 01/18/2022

Heres some more chang out action. Truly love the results of this system revamp!! We need one more coat of mastic on the plenums but heres some pictures of the difference between old and new.

Our latest system change out! ❄ 3.5 ton 14 seer Rheem with 5kw heat. Old condencer was mismatched with a very old airhandler. The old condencer unit had nearly zero clearance to the rear wall of the home. This would not alow the condencer coil to properly dissipate the heat. We were sure to relocate the new unit away from the wall allowing for proper airflow and better efficiency.

New VS Old

Rheem 14seer 2.5ton unit with new concrete pad, and tiedowns! Much more efficient setup.... Not to mention the cleaner look.🥶☺

Bring in the new 4 ton, 14 seer, 10kw heat!🥶🥶🥶

So happy that the unit stopped operating and alerted this customer to the issue we found. This wiring on the condencer switch would have appeared to been arching and causing the switch to burn or become hot enought to totally melt the switch itself. The casing was also totally rusted threw. Dangerous situation indeed.

08/14/2021

Wow... always amazes me how clogged a evaporator drain line can truly be and still be draining off condensate. This drain line was still draining condensate properly, but here you can clearly see that it wouldnt have been too much longer before it would have clogged completely and hopfully the units safty would catch the issue and shut down the unit before water damage was incurred. In this customers case both safty switches were checked and drain line cleaned along with the condenser coil. All of this is included in our annual service inspection plans. Call for details!

08/14/2021

Look at the debris feild on this one! 😳 Shes clean now

08/13/2021

Clean clean clean the extra expenses away. Keeping your condencer coil clean not only improves air flow, alowing this coil to cool the freon properly before its return to the evaporator coil, but it also keeps your cooling fins from prematurely decaying. Both of these issue cost home owners money in repair cost and in energy consumption. Have your unit inspected and cleaned regularly if recommended.

08/09/2021

Ummm... I think we found the issue! Bubbles mean troubles! One braze joint, 7.27lb R410a and shes back up and running.

Photos from Bay Breeze Cooling & Heating inc.'s post 08/03/2021

Fresh install just finished! We reducted to the garage from the attic where the old air handler previously lived. With the airhandler now in the garage there is no chance of water damage from a clogged drain line, and with the garage being cooler then the attic space the unit will be more efficient.

07/28/2021

After a follow up call on this system install, we found out that the home owner viewed thier energy bill recently. When they compared bills from this month last year vs this year it shows a $60+ savings. Woot woot awsome!

Photos from Bay Breeze Cooling & Heating inc.'s post 07/27/2021

We found the problem sir! Gentlemen woke up in a sweat and called first thing in the morning. Found this capacitor to be the issue at hand. 11 year old unit and we plan to keep it running as long as possible.

07/16/2021

Removed pressure switch from a York condencer today. This customer didnt know they had a extended warranty that could be transferred from the previous home owner. After doing our research we discovered this was a option. We filed the warranty paperwork and transfer of ownership papers. Today's work was totally free to our client. 3lb 8oz freon, pressure switch removal and replace, and service call. All included. It's always nice to put a smile on the clients face when you say the word "FREE".

07/14/2021

Drain line clogged solid. We cleared the clog and did a line flush after adding heavy cleaners to the drain line. I've seen some pretty clogged condensate drain lines before but this one takes 1st place. Luckily this unit had a drain line safty switch that was functioning perfectly and alerted the client to the issue before any water damage could occur. The drain lines cleared of debris, filter cleaned, unit fully serviced and another yearly contract signed. Thank you for your buisness!

Another One in the Books! Out with the 32yo Ruud (compressor failure) and in with the new Rheem 4 Ton, 14 Seer, 8kw electric heat.

Sending the hogs threw the line to get out all of the old R22 refrigerant.

Got a out of air call Thursday night. Showed up early Friday morning to service the out of air equipment to find the compressor locked up and out of service. Went into action installing a Brand new 3 ton 16seer Rheem. Installed in the place of a 2.5 ton R-22 unit. The efficiency of this new unit will pay for the install for sure. 🥶

Cleaned this evaporator coil today. I have a good feeling that the air quality, and airflow will be quite a bit better after we reinstall this fresh clean coil!❄🥶
