Super proud of both myself and my bio son... We just successfully drew 4 tubes of his blood with a straight needle! He handled it like a champ despite needing two pokes due to a collapsed vein. My first draw on a kid and totally nailed both pokes! This kid is rocking his bandaids and blood in these photos💞

Self-care in the tropics. I'm about 6 weeks post-surgery and generally do not like treating myself but yesterday's hike on Volcán Arenal was a bit of a challenge for my knee, sore not painful... Healing in body, soul and mind in one of my favorite places on this beautiful home we call Earth. Blessings to each and everyone of you through the hardships and pain, joys and celebrations.
