David Douglas HS T&F/XC
Updates & Announcements from David Douglas XC/Track & Field.
We had 7 athletes at practice today. These runners are out here getting better! Will you decide to join us for our next practice? 8:00am Monday June 28th @ the stadium. If we can improve numbers, we can begin getting creative with different relays, ultimate frisbee games, and gaining fitness together as a team. Let's do it Scotsmen. See you next week!
Monday June 21st, first summer XC practice. Meet at the DDHS track at 9:30am! All athletes, alumni, and ability levels welcome. Successful XC seasons come from consistent summer training, and that starts now. See you Monday!
Attention athletes & alumni!
We're having our first summer XC practice on Monday June 21st @ 9:30am at the track. Every year our athletes claim they wished they'd of shown up to the season in better shape. Now's the time to put in the work. Hope to see you out there for a casual run and some fun on June 21st.
Alumni of DDHS are absolutely welcome!
THIS Wednesday May 12th, please eat at the Clackamas Town Center Chipotle, as 33% of all proceeds will go towards our squad! Hope to see you out there DDSD peeps. Go Scots!
Senior Day @ Palermini Stadium! Our seniors have endured more than any other class, yet they never gave up! We’re always proud of our squad, but particularly proud of this crew. Go Scots! Scott Cashdollar
Home meet Senior “morning” vs. Barlow, Clackamas, Gresham, & Centennial
Attn Track Athletes: You need to get your Snap Raise emails inserted into the system pronto. This helps our program pay for Invitationals and new gear/equipment.
Parents: this fundraiser is simple, all we’re asking athletes to do is provide 20 email addresses of family and friends. SnapRaise will do the rest. Thanks for everything and go Scots!
They could have given up. They could have quit. They could have let the pandemic destroy their senior season. But they didn't. I couldn't be more proud of our seniors. Every last one of them toed the line today and ran a season best (some even a straight up PR)! WAY TO FINISH! Once a Scot, always a Scot!

Congrats to our XC athletes who competed out at Reynolds today! Scots women taking 1st place out of 4 teams: defeating Sandy, Centennial, and host Reynolds. Our men's squad earned 2nd out of the 4-team field, outpacing both Centennial and Sandy. A slow course didn't yield many PR's, but masked running is all about being competitive and our athletes today did just that. GO SCOTS!
First XC practice of the condensed season tomorrow, Monday Feb. 1st 3:15pm @ Glendoveer Golf Course (148th & Halsey side). See you there athletes!
We get to resume in person practices on Feb. 1st! Please visit https://www.scotsathletics.com/ to retrieve the forms in order to get cleared. Please contact Coach Frederick or Coach Adrian for details on practice info, training plans, and any other safety protocol questions. Time to build the mileage Scots, we're going to have a season!
HOME | ddathletics "The spirit of sports gives each of us who participate an opportunity to be creative. Sports knows no s*x, age, race or religion. Sports gives us all the ability to test ourselves mentally, physically and emotionally in a way no other aspect of life can. For many of us who struggle with 'fitting in'...
XC Athletes: have you been running?!
We're hoping to pick up in person practices come end of July. Keep an eye on the Google Classroom and our Facebook/Athletic.net page for updates.

XC Athletes: Look for an email invite from Coach Frederick for our Summer XC training. We're going Google Classroom style until OSAA permits us to engage in person for workouts. Coach Frederick, Adrian, and Wenzel are going to be checking in on you weekly, it's about time to begin that summer mileage. Let's get it! 🏃♀️🏃♂️
Spring track season officially canceled 😔
XC Athletes: be checking your StudentVue emails for updated training info from Coach Frederick and Coach Adrian. If you'd like to continue training, we will continue coaching. Stay healthy everyone
Track Athletes: you should still be training! Hit up your event coach for workouts. OSAA has only delayed our season so far. Fingers crossed we'll still have some race opportunities!
