🌹It is a 4-hour long community wellness fair designed to help bring in more people to access a multitude of services and resources. Through partnerships with other organizations Ground Score Association hopes to bring some relief to the underserved community of the old town neighborhood of Portland.

🍁As the seasons change and the weather gets colder, the needs of our guests change as well. We are reorganizing our storage space to accommodate these changing needs, and to better serve our guests.
🍂By appointment only, we will accepting full sized hygiene products, new underwear, tents, tarps, and sleeping bags. Email [email protected] for a donation appointment.

✨A huge thank you to for donating these beautiful natural hair wigs. They are 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization. Creating wigs for children and adults with medical hair loss.
🌹We always are seeking ways to better serve our guests and wigs is often a request. We are so happy to be able to offer these to our Rose Haven community.
🌹We welcomed Second Growth Counseling into Rose Haven last week. They volunteered and helped us sort bras, clean water bottles from PDX Is Our Airport's lost & found as well organized books in the shelter.

🌹Our hearts and bellies are filled with gratitude and delicious produce from the farm.
✨Our amazing volunteer Brooke picks up a variety of produce each week from the farm. Green beans, eggplants, zucchini, tomatoes, lettuce and grapes were in this weeks delivery. Thank you for helping us feed our guests with nutritious food.

Join our small, social justice-oriented team environment! Rose Haven has provided over 25 years of compassionate service as the only day shelter for women, children and gender expansive people. We are a femme-centered, gender-specific community that serves those most impacted by gender oppression. Our holistic approach includes meeting essential needs while bolstering long-term empowerment. We offer low-barrier services in a new trauma-informed space to guests who trust us and value their relationships with our community of staff, interns, and volunteers.
The Mental Health Advocate Lead plays a vital role at Rose Haven and is responsible for providing support to our guests experiencing homelessness, poverty, and various traumas. Rose Haven takes pride in offering compassionate, trauma-informed mental health services that honor the unique needs of all guests. This position involves providing emotional support, connecting guests to accessible mental health resources, and working closely with the advocacy team to ensure a safe and supportive environment.

🎒 Today was our Back to School Giveaway at where we distributed 300 backpacks loaded with school supplies to 110 families.
📐Oregon has The highest rate of unsheltered families in the nation with one out of every 25 school children experiencing homelessness.
📝 Thank you to everybody who contributed to make this possible. This is what it looks like when the community comes together to show up for each other. So many individuals, businesses, churches, churches, schools and more worked to not only help collect supplies but also volunteer to make this day possible.
🏫 If you missed the giveaway and still need school supplies they are available at the hospitality desk during service hours for registered Rose Haven guests. If you still want to contribute backpacks, we mostly need adult styles for our guests right now!

🌺 Today was the annual Rose Haven summer picnic!🏖️
🌞We celebrated with a beautiful meal topped off with ice cream and 🫐 blueberry cobbler, and each guest was given a gift bag and a raffle prize!
🧺Thank you to all the volunteers who worked hard to make this day special and transform the shelter into a tropical beach for a day. It is important for us to take a pause and celebrate community with each other.
❤A huge thank you to last week's group volunteers from Kaya HR. They helped us clean water bottles that we receive from the PDX Is Our Airport 's lost and found. As well as portioning out dog and cat food for our guests.

🌹In light of the unique needs of each guest that comes through our door, Rose Haven provides a variety of dynamic mental health programs designed to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to our community.

✍️Fact: 38% of all domestic violence victims will become homeless at some point in their lifetime, and 90% of homeless women experience severe physical or sexual abuse.
❤️🩹Everyone deserves to live free of abuse and violence. Rose Haven's programs are specifically catered to provide trauma-informed care and a safe place for women, children, and people of marginalized genders experiencing housing insecurity in Portland.
🎮 We were excited to be apart of the Camp KQ 2024, a 120-player 2-day tournament hosted
🎮 In KQPDX, and the Killer Queen community as a whole, they strive to create a safe and inclusive space for all. They hosted a weekend of competition and community with proceeds raised benefiting Rose Haven. $1,345.98 raised and counting - From our community to yours -Thank you for the enormous generosity.❤
Thank you and local Starbucks partners (employees) for recommending Rose Haven for a Neighborhood Grant of $1,000 to uplift families, alleviate hunger, and address homelessness. We are so grateful to be one of the 2,800 organizations across the U.S. and Canada to receive a Neighborhood Grant to strengthen our community impact, and we are so excited to utilize this grant to support Rose Haven’s guests. 🎉💚 ☕
