Congratulations to the one and only Simone Biles for achieving a Team USA Gold Medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics! Biles officially became the most decorated American gymnast in the history of the Olympic Games with eleven medals!

As a fierce advocate for Friends of the Children, she leverages her platform to be a voice for youth facing life's greatest challenges. Her support and encouragement have made a lasting difference in the lives of countless children and families in our program!

One reason we joyfully celebrate Pride Month each June is to show our unwavering support for all LGBTQIAP2S+ youth, staff, and allies, no matter how they identify. Every youth in our program is unique, and we are dedicated to ensuring they feel supported and loved. 💖

Featured at Friend Raiser will be our youth-run Cafe Friends barista stand. This is an on-going program at FriendsPDX that gives our youth hands-on entrepreneurial experience. Cafes pop-up throughout the year at our Portland and Rockwood sites, offering a range of barista drinks served up by our amazing youth.
