OSHA requires that employers provide hearing protectors to employees exposed to 85 decibels or greater for 8 hours or more at no cost. Training on the proper use of hearing protectors should include individual fit testing to measure how well the devices fit each person.
Using foam earplugs is fine if inserted correctly however any plugs not inserted correctly are not protecting you!
