Yesterday was a good day! I'm honored to be a part of something so wonderful as a member of the Board of Directors & a victims advocate for the Center for Hope & Safety.
Yesterday was such a beautiful Groundbreaking Ceremony for HOPE PLAZA, another dream come true for the Center!
Hope Plaza will offer 20 units of housing and business space which will offer resources and job training for survivors of sexual & domestic violence.
When a victim has taken the first, most important step to safety, which is to seek help...they will tell you, housing and having the tools to rebuild their life is one of the biggest barriers they face.
Hope Plaza will provide survivors the opportunity to focus on healing and starting over without the financial burden.
A project near and dear to my heart, I can't wait to see the progress of Hope Plaza, but more importantly, I cannot wait to watch it serve our community in such an important way!

Educating youth in the agriculture industry is HUGE in keeping the industry going, as well as carrying on the legacy of family owned farms.
The Oregon Farm Bureau is a great resource for such a thing! Take a look at some of their youth programs:
👩‍🌾Young Farmers & Ranchers Program: YF&R is a group within Farm Bureau specifically for agriculture producers between the ages of 16 and 35. The focus is on improving leadership skills, networking, agriculture advocacy, travel — and having fun!
👨‍🌾OFB Scholarships: At the state and county level, Farm Bureau awards about $80,000 worth of scholarships to students every year. 🚜
