MiaDonna was founded by a mother, for a mother. When MiaDonna founder, Anna-Mieke, learned the origin behind her own earth-mined diamond, she began sponsoring a mother Mariah and her son Ponpon who lived in a diamond mining community in Africa, and became passionate about finding a conflict-free option.

Knowing there had to be others who shared this passion, she set out to create the world's most innovative, beautiful, and socially responsible bridal jewelry line. As a result, MiaDonna (named after her daughter Mia and mother Donna) was born in 2005.
