Join us for Christmas dinner on Sunday Christmas Eve at the Portland art museum. This year’s event is from noon to 3 PM. Expect great food, photos with Santa, support for your pets, clothing gifts, and entertainment. Our 29th year celebrating Christmas with our guests.

Our annual Christmas Dinner sign up is live. We are serving indoors at the Portland Art Museum once again! You are invited to join us for Potluck in the Park’s annual holiday tradition. In partnership with the Portland Art Museum for the 8th year we will be serving our free Christmas Dinner in the Art Museum’s Fred and Suzanne Fields Sunken Ballroom.

After missing 2020 and serving under a tent across the street last year we are excited to be back in the ballroom. That doesn't mean we are giving in to this virus. We will be doing everything we can to keep everyone as safe as possible.

We are just guessing that we will have over 1000 guests again. We will be offering a take-out option for those who are still uncomfortable with an indoor gathering. Serving hours will again be from noon to 3:00pm on Christmas Day.

As always, we will serve a turkey dinner with all the trimmings accompanied by live music from some of Portland's finest jazz musicians. Guests can have their photo taken with Santa and warm wear gifts will be given out.

We will spend the day before, Christmas Eve, turning what is already a beautiful ballroom into a Christmas wonderland with a tree, wreaths, fresh garland and poinsettias from our wholesale florist and nursery supporters.

A true bounty!!

TEXAS INSPIRED BBQ!!! Also with our beloved 14 Church Casseroles! A true Potluck in the Park staple twice a month, sometimes three !!

This past weekend was a fantastic Mexican meal!! It was a true crowd pleaser! Every mouth fed!!

What a great day, thanks to Everyone who participated this week and every week!

What an incredible weekend and 31st year for Potluck In the Park!! For three decades this organization has literally never missed a beat. THIRTY ONE years of consecutive service is an amazing defeat. This year has been a true challenge for all of us, especially our guests. The challenges seem far from over, but this weekend we were able to stop and acknowledge the success of this wonderful organization. Words will never express our never-ending gratitude toward our selfless volunteers! From the bakers, to the churches. From the donation agencies, to the silverware rollers. From the Young Men's Service League to the women who spend hours in the kitchen each week. From the kitchen crew to the Board of Directors. We see each and everyone of you as part of our solution!

Drumroll..... The 31st Annual BBQ is this coming weekend!! The Knights of the Columbia will be fulfilling their tradition with on site grilling!!! 31 years of consecutive meals is a triumph!!!

Who knew that after 30+ years, there were still new chapters to experience! Alot of change is happening for our seasoned organization! More to be revealed, but for now keep us in your thoughts!!!

Do you know what today is?? Its our anniversary! Well sorta! We are so excited this weekend!!! It marks an achievement for us!! It's our one year anniversary of returning to hot meal service since the start of the pandemic. It's a "5th Sunday" with soaring temperatures so our community needs us dearly and we are ready!!!

This weekends scene stealer!!!

This weekend was a great success!! Our very own Chef Joseph did the research, watched the you tube videos, and delivered authentic Birria Consome for our guests with our wonderful team of volunteers! 270 of our guests were fed and not a one left hungry!!

Some weekends it is impossible to get photos of great accomplishments! We felt and heard how the sweeps have affected our guests...but they made it! Especially from across the bridges! Housmade Ratatouille proved why it's iconic!! 275 people fed!

It was a very long day but so rewarding!! So excited about tomorrow's meal!! We are serving pulled pork stuffed bell peppers, seven racks of ribs, roasted broccoli, and beef teriyaki!! AND it's Shortcake Sunday!!!

We could still use a few volunteers for this weekend‘s special event which is shortcake Sunday. Come on down to the kitchen at 1628 Southwest Jefferson anytime after 1130 today and help slice berries for our guests. If you want to help out serving tomorrow, Come on down to the park at Northwest Glisan at 11:30. If you need more information you can call or text David at mobile number 971-344-2373.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Portland Street Response! They provided a Deescalation training class for our team to better serve our community. It was wonderful to see that compassion and respect are the center of their philosophy!!

Thank you again to everyone's support for this cause!! We are almost halfway to our goal!! Because of you we accomplished this in a week!

Our team arrived to start production for a weekly meal at 7:30 AM today Sunday, May 29, 2022. Upon arrival we immediately recognized that not one but both of the vans that we use weekly to secure food and transportation for those less fortunate have been stolen! Our team is relentless and of course started to immediately strategize how we were going to serve today.We’ve never missed a Sunday and serving in over 30 years, however today was one of the more challenging situation’s are team has been faced with. Please be on the lookout and let us know if you see our trucks. The vehicle shown in the photo is an 06 dodge and the other has no graphics and is a 2001 Ford F350 extended cargo van
