Westminster's Vocal Institute is renowned as one of the nation's leading summer programs for high school students. This year's VI will be offered completely online July 19 - August 1. Registration is now open for Vocal Institute 2020! We are excited to introduce our new VI Director: Dr. Jason Vodicka! Dr. Vodicka is Assistant Professor of Music Education at Westminster Choir College and is an alumni of WCC and the University of Georgia. He is also an alumni of the Vocal Institute! Dr. Vodicka and the VI staff look forward to meeting new and returning students this summer.

Attention all parents and friends of Vocal Institute:

We are fast-approaching the end of the Vocal Institute. The students have been amazing and the faculty are incredibly pleased with everything they have accomplished.

Due to the excessive heat warning we are moving the 10:00 am final concert tomorrow, Saturday, July 20, from Princeton University Chapel (which is not air-conditioned) to Bristol Chapel on the Westminster campus (which does have air-conditioning). This is to ensure the safety of the students and the audience. We appreciate your flexibility as we make this change.

For those of you that are not able to be here for the final concert we have arranged for it to be live streamed, with high-quality audio and video. The link to the live stream is: http://live.njvid.net/rider/. The link should be active by about 9:50 am.

Again, it has been a pleasure and an honor to have your young adults with us for the past two weeks. I'm sure you will hear all about their time with us once they are back home.

Today was the last day of sectionals for the Vocal Institute. A huge thank you to our wonderful section leaders for their guidance and inspiration!

Tomorrow (Friday, July 19) we’ll have our final dress rehearsals and the Voice Class Recital in Hillman Hall at 7:30 pm!

The program for today’s recital!

Today (Sunday, 7/14) at 4:30 pm (EDT) we will have our annual mid-camp recital in Bristol Chapel on the Westminster Choir College campus. There will be a livestream from this page during the event which will be taken down soon after it’s done. Looking forward to hearing all of the solos and ensembles!

Tomorrow night we will have the mid-camp recital, featuring soloists from every voice class and 1-2 pieces from each choir. We will be live-streaming the performance on our page for those would like to tune in from afar.

The concert starts at 4:30 pm (EST) in Bristol Chapel. We hope you will join us!

Today was the annual counselor recital! We heard wonderful performances from musical theatre to opera to folk. The recital closed with a piece heard throughout Westminster’s history as all the counselors sang Joseph Flummerfelt’s arrangement of Danny Boy.

Vocal Institute is underway with full choir rehearsals and evening activities!

Check-in has begun for Vocal Institute 2019! The awesome VI counselors are ready to welcome all the singers this year!

We are thrilled to announce our repertoire for the 2019 Vocal Institute! The Full Choir will be performing movements of Vivaldi’s Gloria, plus works by Jake Runestad and Richard Smallwood.

We look forward to sharing this wonderful music with you during our final concert on July 20th!
