On this International Women's Day, we express our gratitude and love to all the amazing women, past and present. From local heroes to CEOs, they have inspired us with their extraordinary achievements, contributions, and resilience. As a team of diverse individuals, we understand and value the importance of equality and inclusivity. Everyone deserves to be celebrated and appreciated for who they are and what they do.

This year's theme, "Inspire Inclusion," is not just a campaign but a powerful call to action. It urges us to actively shape a world where everyone is acknowledged, genuinely supported, and empowered worldwide.

We encourage everyone to take a moment to honor the ones who have broken barriers and paved the way for progress. Let's recognize the countless women continuously striving to make positive changes in their communities daily, both big and small. Let's also remember that we still have a long way to go to achieve true inclusivity. It's up to all of us to work towards a future where everyone, everywhere, can thrive without limitations.

"RISD was founded and nurtured by a small group of women more than 40 years before women in America even gained the right to vote. That year Helen Adelia Rowe Metcalf urged 34 members of the Rhode Island Women’s Centennial Commission to invest their group’s surplus funding of $1,675—which they had raised for RI’s contribution to the Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition in 1876—in founding a school of art and design (instead of building a public fountain, one of the other options on the table)."
