We were honored to a part of the NICU 4 year Follow-Up celebration on Sunday! These 2020 graduates enjoyed an afternoon of crafts, snacks and entertainment and everyone went home with a book from RORRI! 📚🩺❤️

🎉 Congratulations to Dr. Lin, our incredible provider Northeast Medical Group (NEMG) Pediatrics in Westerly, for being voted Best of the Best in CT for the 3rd year in a row! 🏆

Dr. Lin splits her time between Reach Out and Read partnering practices in Rhode Island and Connecticut, bringing her passion for children’s literacy to families in both states. Here’s a heartwarming moment she shared:
"I wish you were here to see the 4-month-old baby when I gave him his touch-and-feel book today. His eyes widened, and he started scanning the book as he reached out to grab it. His mom was amazed at his reaction. This is definitely the fun part of Pediatrics: showing parents what their babies/kids are capable of doing."

📚 Celebrating National with a Major Milestone! 📚

Yesterday, the Reach Out and Read Rhode Island team was thrilled to announce a $50,000 federal earmark that will significantly expand our early literacy program with Providence Community Health Centers!

Thanks to this funding, more Rhode Island kids ages 6 to 8 years old and their families will have access to free books during their annual well-care visits, fostering a lifelong love of reading from an early age.

We're also excited to share that we'll be honoring Senator Jack Reed at our 25th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, October 19th. Senator Reed will receive the "Champion of Children's Literacy" award for his unwavering advocacy for early childhood education and literacy programs, enriching the minds of children across Rhode Island and the nation.
