In memory of a cherished friend. Your warmth, generosity, and spirit touched so many lives, including mine. Rest in peace, Alan Tracy. You will be deeply missed.

Alan passed peacefully on June 1st. This is a heartbreaking loss for so many in the RISD and Providence community, where he was an integral figure. His contributions were invaluable, and his presence irreplaceable.

Alan played a crucial role in my journey after RISD, especially through our work with , where he helped organize a Headshot Day every year for graduating students. Over almost a decade of collaboration, Alan became a treasured friend. Just this past fall, he joined and me to carve pumpkins with his daughter Rose, creating memories I will forever cherish.

I bumped into Alan more often than almost anyone around town in Providence. He was always easy to spot with his iconic long curly hair.

Rest in peace Alan, you will be deeply missed.
