This initiative sees the collective donating up to 40 refurbished bicycles to individuals and families in need. As the wintry holiday season approaches, we look to empower the local community through our simple gift of bicycles. Each bike represents more than just a mode of transportation; it symbolizes opportunity, and the spirit of coming together to support one another during this special time of the year. If you are in need of a child size bicycle, please email [email protected]

Who is ready for Bike Prom 2023? Get all the details at bikeprom.com or do the old click link in bio thingie. Some things will be the same as last year, like the ride from Liberty Park with police es**rt, all the way to our rockin’ venue, club. Some things will be different. Instead of stopping at the site of our New Hub, instead of a patch of weeds, there will be a nearly-finished building. That will be something to celebrate!
We are growing and looking to add new members to our team in provo! We are looking to hire for a full time head mechanic and a part time mechanic, pay is $14/hr + DOE, send resumes to our email at [email protected] !
If you’ve been wanting to learn how to work in your bike this is the class for you! Our new curriculum is more hands on and focuses on the essential skills you’ll need to maintain your bike. See you there!
Don’t let the rain ruin your ride. It doesn’t take anything more than a rear fender to enjoy the beauty of riding in the rain. What gear do you use to keep rolling during the downpour?
There are certainly more flashy accessories, but nothing gives more confidence on a long ride than a frame pump. They come in all shapes and sizes, from full length frame pumps to C02 inflators, there’s one that will fit your needs. Carry a pump: a public service announcement from our head mechanic Matt.
Take note! Our mechanics classes will be postponed until further notice while we rework our curriculum. Stay tuned for further updates as we work to resume the classes soon!
MECHANICS 101 class happening this week (from last week's postponing)! In this week's class we'll be discussing shifting and derailleurs, helping you fine-tune your gears to make sure you can reach them all.
This is an entry-level month-long class covering the most asked-about systems of a bike. You will learn the basics of bicycle maintenance and repair, helping you feel more confident working on your own bike. This class occurs every Wednesday from 7-8pm. Attend all the classes or hop in on the one that most interests you.
There is a suggested donation for the general public of $5 to attend this class. If you are a member, this class is free. And remember that if you have volunteered 4 hours the previous month, you qualify for member benefits.
Come join us tomorrow (Saturday) for a goodbye ride and party to Kira and Otis!
The time has come to say goodbye before Kira and Otis leave their job(s) here at Provo Bicycle Collective. Please join for a community social ride on Saturday, February 25th at 5pm. The ride will happen snow, rain, wind, sleet, or sunshine...but we realize that might not be everyone's definition of fun. In which case, join us at the shop at 6pm for food and mingling. EVERYONE IS INVITED, meaning yes--you!
FYI our Mechanics 101 class is postponed from tonight to next Wednesday!

BikeWalk Provo is starting monthly family rides led by the awesome Doula Karol Long! Join us every third weekend of the month to bike with a super fun, kid-friendly group. All kinds of bikes are welcome! Anyone with a bike can come too — not just families :)
We have two rides every month — one on Friday at 10 AM and another on Saturday at 5 PM. Come to whichever one works for you — or both!
This month, we will meet at the Provo Bicycle Collective on Friday, 2/17 at 10 AM and Saturday, 2/18 at 5 PM. Let's all help support families who bike together and boost the confidence of families who cargo bike with kids!
Do you have a young one that is ready to be bike indoctrinated? Look no further. This Strider bike is in great shape and is ready to be rehomed for $55. Stop by the shop anytime we’re open to check it out, or purchase it on our website.
TONIGHT! Pretty crucial to the bike riding experience is the security of knowing that when you pull on the brake lever, the bike will come to a stop. In this class we will discuss different styles of brake systems, how to fine tune them, and what to do if your brakes aren't working.
As always, there is a suggested donation for the general public of $5 to attend this class. If you are a member, this class is free. And remember that if you have volunteered 4 hours the previous month, you qualify for member benefits.
You can register for the class at the link in our bio, or just show up tonight (Wednesday) at 7pm.
Kira here: I’ve accepted a new job and will be leaving my Provo Director position at the end of this month. (And since I’m leaving…that means Otis is leaving too.) As excited as I am about my new opportunity, it’s hard to put into words how sad I am to leave the Bicycle Collective.
Rather than trying to express my sappy thoughts here, JOIN ME in one “last” community hurrah on Saturday February 25th. We’ll meet at the shop at 5pm for a social ride taking us to some of my favorite Provo spots (this ride is happening rain, snow, sleet, or wind). After the ride we’ll gather inside the shop (probably about 6ish) for food and mingling. I have an uncanny ability to remember almost everyone I’ve interacted with, so if you’re reading this you are 100% invited. The more the merrier.
MECHANICS 101 class happening TONIGHT! You know what they say: "When my bike chain rusted, the rest of my bike started falling apart too. It was a chain reaction." Come by the shop today to learn all you didn't know you needed to know about chains, including how to clean, lubricate, and when to replace one.

Cole is our shining-star, hard-working, trusty Service Center Manager. Although as of late he’s had a bit too much time to goof off…. Most folks remember they have bike as soon as the weather gets warm so here’s us sharing a secret (shhh 🤫): winter time is a fantastic time to get your bike tuned up.
In the winter, there’s no two-week wait time like there often is throughout the spring and summer. So grab that bike, wheel it on over to the shop, and Cole will tune it up! We can do all sorts of services—bearing system overhauls, shifting & brake adjustments, chain replacing, you name it.
No appointment is needed to have your bike tuned in the Service Center. Just come by when we’re open and we’ll take it from there.
