Poolhouse w/ Lovingly Clad, Internet Lover Boys.
Poolhouse was one of the young bands that exploded out of the Covid 19 pandemic/closure. Since then they've risen to be one of the hottest and most promising bands in the scene. They'll be joined by Lovingly Clad and Internet Lover Boys!

Since winning Velour's summer 2023 Battle of the Bands, Local Kin has risen to be one of the leaders of the resurging roots-rock movement in the Utah music scene! Joining them will be new pop-folk/bluegrass band The Last Wild Buffalo (their tour kick-off) and veteran musician Dusty Hulet, returning to the Velour stage for the first time in several years!

Robert Loud (aka Robbie Connolly/legendary guitarist for local band Fictionist) has now been a touring member of The Killers for several years. On the brink of his long anticipated solo album release, he will also be opening for The Killers on 6 east coast/Canada stadium tour dates through September!…And did I mention that none other than Sego will be his backing band!
In celebration we will be hosting this tour kickoff show at Velour (with Sego backing up Robbie for his set, and then headlining the night with a set of their own signature art-punk!) before they both fly to the east coast on 9/6! Joining the party will SLC veterans Strange Familia... Don’t miss this epic lineup!

These showcases work as a companion to our Battle of the Bands competitions, with the goal of finding new talent to work into our normal show rotation, as well as introducing new bands to one another and to cross pollinate and grow fan bases! We received over 40 submissions for just 12 available spots, so unfortunately we couldn't fit everybody in this time. Fleur Bleu·e (Touring French Dream-Pop)
w/ Miicah, Bentelou
FLEUR BLEU·E is Paris-based Dream-Pop/Shoegaze duo consisting of Delphine Lucy Lam and Vlad Swann. The band blends English and French lyrics and will be touring the US this summer in support of their debut album "Unrequited Love" which was just released on the Parisian label Pan European Recording.

Their music has been described as “drawing together the cinemascope storytelling of Lana Del Rey with complex dream-pop rhythms akin to Beach House and Alvvays” (Analogue Trash). It has been welcomed by numerous media outlets both in France (Rolling Stone, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue) and in the US (KEXP, Austin Town Hall, American Pancake).Check out their live Youtube video in the comments and don't miss their Velour debut!P.S. If you are a new band (or an established band) that hasn't played Velour before, these showcases are meant for you!
Velour is a very curated venue which is one reason why we've had so many successful bands develop on our stage, but also why it can be hard for new bands to get their first show...
In addition to our two annual Battle of the Bands competitions in June and December, we host "New Band Showcases" every Thursday in March and August as another effective way for us to discover new talent to work into our normal band rotation.
If interested:
1.Please email [email protected] ASAP with the subject line "Aug 2024 New Band Showcase"
2.Include links to social media pages, online music, and relevant Youtube videos.
3.Include a brief band description (music genre, what city you're from, etc).
4. Include a band contact name and phone number.
Note: Although this isn't a Battle of the Bands competition, we will still use these showcases to evaluate band performance, professionalism, promotional work ethic, and crowd draw (Must be able to draw a minimum of 20 people). Also, although we will only be able to showcase 16 bands in Aug, we frequently pull from the other submissions to book future showcases and for other opening opportunities.

This Friday Join Kirby Heyborne, the host of the hit TV show Making Good, to celebrate the premiere of season 6 and to hear songs and stories from the show!
Making Good follows Kirby Heyborne across the world as he volunteers with non-profit organizations anywhere and any way he can. He shares laughter, his heart, and music along the way.

Velour is proud to team up once again with The Harrington Center for the Arts to bring you Fork Fest 2024! There are several great music festivals in Utah that bring in out of state touring acts, but very few who focus entirely on our talented local bands, and none on the scale and production of Fork Fest!
Many people are unaware that Utah has a nationally recognized music scene and that bands like Imagine Dragons, Neon Trees, The Backseat Lovers, The Aces, and even this year's headliner iDKHOW all started right here! Our goal with Fork Fest is to spotlight this talented music scene, to celebrate some of these musical success stories, and to introduce the general public to the next bands on the rise! Buying a ticket to Fork Fest is a great way to directly support local, original music... And no, this isn't a festival that will cost you $100+. You can get the full day pass for Saturday 6/8 for just $30, or the two day pass for just $45... That's less than $1.50 per band! Also kids under 11 get in FREE! After carefully listening/sorting through the 70+ band submissions that we received, we are very excited to finally announce our Summer 2024 Battle of the Bands lineup (June 24-29)! There are a lot of factors that go into determining these lineups, and unfortunately with only 20 available slots, there are a lot of equally talented bands that we just couldn't fit in this time. The show will feature local favorites Queenadilla, Chi Chi Le Mot, and Mac Wright & The Generous along with touring band Late Night Special! Late Night Special, hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, brings a unique flavor to the funk rock genre. They are renowned for funky tunes that not only resonate but also get people on their feet and rocking out. "STRIPPED + BARE"
is a limited seating concert event created by Ryan Innes, and hosted by Velour. On these intimate acoustic shows the artists play in the middle of the floor surrounded by the crowd. This creates a living room feel and gives the artist freedom to tell more of the backstory behind their songs, and to better interact with their fans.
RYAN INNES: “Ryan is a soulful bearded crooner who you may have seen on Season 4 of The Voice or Season 2 of Songland. He’s been writing and playing across the country ever since and has songs placed on NBC, ABC, Netflix, NFL, Dude Perfect YouTube and many more. Over the years, Innes has developed a distinct and dynamic artistic voice in his live sets. One that can be heartbreakingly intimate at one moment and soaringly epic the next. The range of emotions Innes can articulate in a single song or across a setlist mirrors the emotional scope of the artist’s life, a contrasting mélange of turmoil, peace, grief and hope.
”EMMA NISSEN: Meet Emma Nissen, a Swedish-American songwriter with a rich, deep voice—and the music to match. Emma’s willingness to dive into life with a spirit of exploration carried her through her first years away from home and into her current career. During the pandemic, Emma wrote her first hit song, “Gotta Have Faith.” She describes that experience as a wave of inspiration, the door that opened to new opportunities to share her faith. Since then, she has written dozens of both Christian and secular songs, with many more in the making.Reflecting on her creative inspiration, Emma remarked, “My songs address many different facets on the surface but in reality, they are all saying, “God loves you.
