First time getting in the studio in a while. Time for some ornament making. I don't have any gnomes left, so out with the scroll saw to cut out some blanks to make some more. Other ornaments currently available. Ornaments are $15 each, any style.

I am pleased to announce my mosaic of Mount Rainier was accepted for this year's annual Peninsula Art League Open Juried Art Show taking place in Gig Harbor, WA this fall.

Just finished this little miss piggy. I think she is going to live at my house. Lol

California Art League - Portfolio of Works: Mankind/Nature

Tonight was the artist reception for this art show, which opens tomorrow. Lots of really fabulous pieces. This show is over 100 pieces by 68 artists nationwide and is free admission. It runs until October 28. If you are in Gig Harbor, check it out at the Harbor History Museum.

The Puyallup Fair (aka the Washington State Fair) opens Friday Sept 2. I have entered my Mt Rainier mosaic this year. If you come out to "do the Puyallup", please go see it and all the other amazing creations in the Hobby Hall (upstairs in the Pavillion building)

I was notified today that 2 of my pieces, the Mandala and the Light House mosaics were accepted into the Peninsula Art League Open Juried Art Show this Fall being held at the Harbor History Museum in Gig Harbor. 🙂

I was honored to be asked to create this piece for an old school friend in honor of his late mother. Thank you, Lonnie McGowan, for trusting me with this special piece.

It was 5 years ago that she discovered mosaic art which sparked a new creative passion for her. Most of her art pieces are inspired by nature and especially her love of flowers in her garden. She often repurposes items for art pieces such as old windows, cabinet doors, old dishes, and other found items.

Exciting News! I am happy to announce my first solo art show! This is put on by Puyallup ARTS Downtown. I have been busy getting ready and am just putting the finishing touches on the last couple of pieces. My show will be available beginning April 1 and last until Mid June. Located at the Puyallup Activity Center gallery. Hours for the center currently are M-F; 8-4:30. An Artist Reception is still to be determined but will be announced once details are available.

Latest one finished to be included in an upcoming art show. Hopefully soon! I will share details once available! :-)

I can post this now that the holidays are over. This is an 18" lazy susan I made for my Mom. :-)

Here is the Mt Rainier piece finished! I think I will title it "Tahoma Sunrise".

I am working on getting enough pieces put aside for a gallery show hopefully in the spring. This one done, now to get a few more pieces made. :-)

Here is what I have been working on the last couple of months. It's not quite finished as it needs some more fill in some spots and then grout. This is my largest piece yet. It measures 2 feet by 3 feet.

I have been making some garden art this summer. This dragonfly and flowers gazing ball is done on a recycled glass light globe and has solar lights inside. I also did these garden art pieces on upcycled glass pan lids. Fun pieces to include in the garden.

I am very excited that this piece was officially accepted into the 2021 Open Juried Art Show to be held at the Harbor History Museum in Gig Harbor, WA this fall. :-) This show is put on by the Peninsula Art League.
