Hand-crafted glass fusing adventures. Follow me - #1400degreesoffun This is also called kilnforming.
Using opaque and translucent sheet glass, I cut pieces by hand -- often adding glass frits and glass powders – and then fuse them together in a very high temperature glass kiln. I design varying sizes of panels, suncatchers, ornaments, night lights, articulated pieces, and platters. I lean towards botanical themes and love to replace the glass in everyday lanterns and old windows with beautiful new panels.

Heather has been a consistent friendly face and supporter of Fireweed Glass. We got to see her on Saturday at the Maple Valley Farmers' Market, and now she’s sent photos the plant stakes she purchased in their natural habitat. Don’t they look fantastic?! Thanks, Heather!

Look at these groooovy windows!! Have I mentioned how I LOVE old windows?! Found in Palmer, AK….my Brother found them and my Sister-in-law zipped out to pick them up, making the magic happen for Fireweed Glass today. Thank you both so much!! I can’t wait to get to designing the glass. Each measures a little over 30”x20”.

Yes! Yes, yes and yes. You CAN make more than three ornaments in the workshop. You can add-on ornaments - whatever is available from the selection - for just $10 each. Remember: these ornaments are big - 3” to 4”.  There are plain 3 inch clear and white circles available, as well.
The set up is like a buffet; you choose your ornaments and all of the decorations, and simply glue them together. Even a Yeti can do this. When they are dry, I fire them in the kiln. Expect 5-7 days before they are ready for pickup or shipping options.

Make three ornaments. These 4 are the 2023 additions. There are others from which to choose - snowmen, stockings, gingerbread people and others. They'll be available for pickup (or via other delivery arrangement) 5-7 days after the workshop. Shipping can be arranged, as well.
