When I came in the first week of January of 2024 I was in pain, limping pain in my lower back and hips. Through the last two and half months, I have had a 90% full recovery when it comes to my health issues and history in general. Everyone here was nice and great and Kimmy and Susan again performed miracles with their VooDoo!

When I first came in, my hips were popping in and out on a weekly basis. More or less, I have hit a complex issue with my left knee being upset from previous injury. My neck has hit a plateau that we’re going to wait on for now. I have really enjoyed being a patient and learning more about how to handle pain.

A few things about Amirah!
She loves spending time with her friends and family. Going on fun adventures, to concerts, camping, and spending time with her birds !😊
This is my second time at Rainier Family Physical Therapy and I wouldn’t go anywhere else the staff here are the best. This time it was for reverse shoulder replacement therapy and Kim and Stephanie did a wonderful job at keeping me at the right pace when I wanted to do too much and I am grateful for that. They have become true friends.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms out there! A special appreciation to all the ones who work with our team! We love you all and you are doing great! 🫶🏻
I started PT for complaints of dizziness and vertigo. I was suffering with frequent moments of loss balance, dizziness, and vertigo. I choose Rainier Family PT because of the family friendly atmosphere. After 3 weeks of twice a week therapy, I began to notice and feel the dizziness lessen and reduced to once or twice a week rather than frequently throughout the week. We also worked on strengthening my core and balance. I am sad to be discharged but thankful for all the hard work and my awesome therapist.

Rainier Family really took good care of me. I came in with sciatica in my right leg and pinched nerves in my back. They stretched and worked my legs and back prior to surgery, it really helped. Post surgery they worked, stretched and strengthened my legs and back. I really appreciate the great work. I can now lead a normal life.

"This is the third time I have been here due to work and Rainier Family is the only place I will come. They are caring, passionate, and knowledgeable. They work hard and prepare you for life/going back to work. If I get hurt, I am safe knowing I have a therapy location to help me."

The traveling gnome is back at it again! Taking his turn out with one of our patients to Ireland! ✈️💙
"The gnome was buckled up safely for his trip and he was ready to fly. He stopped at London Heathrow, and was still feeling spry. He made his way to Belfast where he found a red royal mailbox, but there were no stamps to be had. He couldn't write home, and this made the gnome a bit sad. He decided to shop in Ballymena, and met some members of his family. He had a nice chat with them and this made him happy. He went into another shop and that's where he met Molly. Molly and the gnome had a good craic, that's when the gnome knew that he had to bring Molly back. All buckled up safely they were ready to go, back home to RFPT where they knew they belong... making staff and patients smile all day long. "

“Aging sometimes really challenges a soul. I have had a spectacular relationship with the Rainier Family and the staff. Staff has guided my healing and challenged my continued path of progress. They have shown great care, especially when my progress stalled. The staff maintained a team effort: communicating with me and my orthopedic doctor. Slowly but surely, I have met goals and improved greatly from where I started. Hip surgery takes time to heal. It is easy to know where you can ask for help and where you can place your trust.”

My therapists were really wonderful. They tried several different things to help resolve my issues. I really enjoyed my appointments and got lots of great suggestions about things to try! Shannon was also extremely knowledgeable with my issue and really understood what I am struggling with. She was able to explain what I am experiencing to my doctor so he can help resolve my issue too. ~ N.J.

The RFPT Story
Just like any PNW story, it started with a cup of coffee. Owners Kim Bisson and Susan Hays were working at a large corporate clinic together in the Puyallup area and, after meeting over coffee, decided that they wanted to break away from the normal physical therapy setting. They wanted a place that was not stagnant or boring, but instead was lively, fun, and a highlight to a patient’s day. After a year of hard work and a lot of patience, Rainier Family Physical Therapy (RFPT) opened in May 2008!
Now in our 10th year since opening, RFPT has met some of the best people in the PNW and continues to serve the greater Puyallup, Graham, and Tacoma area. RFPT has seen tremendous growth since opening but has not lost its identity. Our team continues to provide high-quality care in a comfortable, friendly, and fun environment.
RFPT is a clinic unlike any other that provides personalized treatment plans with clinical staff that are highly trained in strain-counter-strain, fascial counter-strain, Kinesio taping, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to promote overall healing and wellness. We don’t just treat the symptoms, we find and treat the source of the problem! We frequently treat the following conditions:
