NYSC 9/11 Stair Climb +5K Benefit for Tunnel to Towers 2023 On September 11, 2001, FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller laid down his life to save others when America was attacked. For 20 years, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation has honored Stephen's legacy by supporting the heroes who continue to risk life and limb in the line of duty.
Next week on Monday, September 11, Climb 104 flights of stairs on a StairMaster or Run/Walk 5K on a treadmill at any NYSC location to benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation . This fundraiser honors the life and sacrifice of all 9/11 heroes and first responders. We remember the final footsteps of Stephen Siller, an off-duty New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001, after strapping on his gear and running through the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel (formerly known as the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel) to the Twin Towers to help. By donating and/or participating in this fundraiser, you'll help support and raise awareness for the many who sacrifice their lives every day. This climb symbolizes strength, hope, and the resilience of the American spirit.
What is Tunnel to Towers? Tunnel to Towers' mission is to honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. We also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life for our country.
How To Participate:
1. Sign-up at the front desk of your Club to participate in the Stair Climb / 5K taking place on Monday, September 11th.
2. Can’t make the event on September 11th but want to support Tunnel to Towers? Donate directly to the Foundation at the link below.
3. Spread the word. You do not need to be a member to participate in this benefit event.

Research has discovered that listening to music while working out distracts people from pain and fatigue, elevates mood, motivates and can increases endurance.

Stretch your quads! It is a common to stretch these muscles as part of a warmup or cool down, especially for lower-body workout routines as well as cycling, running, and yoga.
Hold the stretch for at least 30 seconds on each leg and deepen the stretch slowly and carefully. Avoid stretching beyond your normal range of motion.
Take the time to stretch, your muscles will thank you!
