Every year Rubato cooks for the Celebration for Grassroots Organizing. This is an amazing 600 person fundraiser that supports 16 local grassroots organizing groups.

This is something we look forward to every year and this year our very own will be featuring his own lobster menu.

1. Late post, but allow us to introduce you to our newest General Manager Tim! has been hanging out with the Rubato team since we opened, having cheffed at multiple restaurants around town. Now, he has finally joined the team as our GM.

He’s a jack of all trades and you can catch his sunny smile at the Rubato cashier stand on the busy weekends.

2. This weekend was Tim’s birthday!! 🎁 🎂 🎈 send some love to the bday boy!

Rubato chef will appear on cooking competition show 'Chopped' Laurence Louie, the chef of acclaimed restaurant Rubato in Quincy, announced on Instagram that he will appear in an episode of "Chopped."

Hungry fam, meet the hungriest of management teams Tim, Adam, Rolland (the guy with the Rubato sweater is Laurence 😝)♥️

This week has been a huge milestone for Rubato, we were able to carve out time for our first annual leadership retreat. We got to know each other from the roots to the water drops, reflect on the evolution of Rubato in this past year and DREAM of what we can achieve in the years to come.

We are truly blessed to be working with the smartest, bravest, humblest and hungriest people out there. We can’t wait to share more of what Rubato is made of ♥️

A big big thank you to our friends who treated us to the most amazing breakfast (we have a soft spot for their banana bread, grilled cheese, breakfast sandwich and don’t get us started with their lemonade and matcha 😭😭). The care they put in the space for our team to be able to meet and train was nothing short of amazing.

Wow. best new restaurant 2023??

It’s madness to think back to August 2022 when the doors of our little shop in Quincy, MA swung open. We didn’t know how our food and our vibes would be received but it looks like it’s working :)

Allow us to introduce Mr. Adam Cooper .food___ - our newest cook in the kitchen.

He joined our team back in late September and the energy in the kitchen has never been so electric Adam has been in the kitchen every morning at 4am mastering the art of the bolo bao. And let us tell you hungry fams…he is goooood.

Blessed with the voice of an angel, you can catch Adam singing along to the Rubato playlist sometimes, otherwise you can check out his music project .food___

He’s a genuine, kind human being with a charisma like no other. So so happy to have Adam part of the team. Come catch him rolling bolo bao dough at the window and say what’s up :) 👋
