Our partners at the Racine Revitalization Partnership (RRP) celebrated a major accomplishment on August 7 when they held their ribbon cutting ceremony for two new three-bedroom houses on Highland Avenue.
These homes have been reserved for sale by application only to first-time, low/moderate income (0-80% under County Median level) households. Mayor Cory Mason was present at the ceremony, underlining the importance of RRP's ongoing work in Racine.
FCI is excited to watch RRP continue fulfilling its mission to rejuvenate neglected neighborhoods through housing, work opportunities, and commercial investment that builds upon the existing community culture and diversity.

We were very honored to have Mayor Cory Mason at our ribbon cutting ceremony for RRP's two new affordable houses!
If anyone has any information for this senseless act of vandalism please call Executive Director, Kathy Snyder @ 262-902-7108.
We have been working very hard on this home and this senseless act will not stop RRP's mission to revitalize this entire community.
Meet Marcellus. He is a young entrepreneur in the Racine area. RRP hired Marcellus for lawn cutting on our properties. He loves what he does! He is always on time, respectful and a very hard worker. If you are looking for a local person to cut your lawn, give him a call. Thank you Marcellus for the fabulous work!
RRP is proud to be working with students from Racine County Wisconsin Summer Youth Program. These young men are very hard workers and a pleasure to work with. They are helping RRP build the two new affordable homes as well as other properties of RRP. Students, Anton, Ruben and Keshawn not only chose the color and design of the retaining wall, they are building it as well!
With the help from Anton, a student with the Racine County Youth Program: Cabinets, trim and railing complete. Retaining wall has started. These affordable homes could not happen without the partnership of Forward Community Investments, City of Racine, Wisconsin Government, and Racine Community Foundation. Eligibilty requirements to purchase these homes are: First time homebuyer, 80% or under County Median Income level (household income) and complete the Housing Resource Inc. course.
Do not let owning your very first home pass you by! Call Executive Director, Kathy Snyder, if you would like more information at 262-456-2340.@
