Even for patients who have insurance, a health crisis often becomes a financial crisis. Help Hope Live has been showing community fundraising volunteers how to bring together a network of relatives, friends and neighbors in fundraising efforts to help cover the costs of uninsured medical expens
For 40 years, Help Hope Live has empowered clients to rally support from their communities to cover uninsured medical expenses.
Since 1983, we’ve helped thousands raise millions for essential costs like medications, equipment, home health care, therapy, medical travel, and more.

It's an incredible opportunity to connect with the transplant community, share our mission, and explore how we can support patients in fundraising for the medical care they need and deserve.
Today we are wishing a very happy -iversary to our client Ambassador, Liz! Liz began fundraising with us in April of 2015 to help cover the costs associated with her kidney transplant. Just a few months later, Liz received the gift of life thanks to a selfless living donation from a friend. We are lucky to have you as a client Ambassador, Liz, and honored to be a part of your story. Happy -iversary.
Help Hope Live had an unforgettable experience at Abilities Expo Phoenix last weekend!
One of the most heartwarming moments was surprising 12-year-old Favio, who lives with Lowe Syndrome, with his very own adaptive bike. These bikes can be life-changing, but they’re often out of reach for families without financial assistance. That’s why we were thrilled to partner with the Esther and Pedro Rosenblatt Foundation to present this incredible gift to Favio and his family.
While in Phoenix, we also had the opportunity to connect with social workers from Banner Health and Mayo Clinic, deepening our partnerships and expanding our support network.
Thank you, Abilities Expo, for another amazing event! We can’t wait to see you again soon.

We are thrilled to be here at the 2024 Mind Your Brain Foundation Conference, connecting with the brain injury community and discussing how Help Hope Live can provide support. Stay tuned for more updates from our visit!

"No one is exempt from the possibility of living with an SCI. Disability doesn’t discriminate—anyone can become a part of this minority."
Jennifer Jenkins was born with a rare spinal arteriovenous malformation (AVM) and has been impacted by paralysis since age 6.
We asked her for her reflections on independence, work, hope, and her two furriest friendships as we recognize Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month.
Read her story here: https://helphopelive.org/jennifer-jenkins/

Happy fundraising anniversary to our client Ambassador Dianne Vitkus! Four years ago today, Dianne began fundraising with us to help offset the costs associated with her spinal cord injury. Since 2020, we have had the immense pleasure of seeing Dianne speak in the community, meeting up with her at our events around the country, and above all, having Dianne as a client Ambassador. Celebrating you today and every day, Dianne. Happy fundraising anniversary.
We are closed today in honor of the holiday. We will be back at 9:00 a.m. ET tomorrow, September 3, and will get back to you as quickly as possible. We are grateful to everyone who makes our mission possible!
STORY TIME! Ari Jarrett’s family began fundraising with us in May to help cover the costs associated with multiple disabilities. As part of our one-on-one fundraising support, we reached out to the local media to help secure coverage for the campaign and an August fundraiser.
Working closely with Ari’s family, we helped support fundraiser planning and secured local press coverage that almost doubled the funds raised in Ari’s honor within 24 hours after the first story went live.
The momentum continued as the clip gained traction on YouTube and received additional media coverage, further boosting the fundraiser's success.
Today, over $19,000 has been raised in Ari’s honor. Funds raised will offset key expenses including service dog training and an athletic wheelchair for Ari.
We're incredibly proud to have been part of this journey, shining a spotlight on Ari's story and helping to plan a fundraiser that truly made a difference. Here's to even more success, Ari and team!

“This is the most beautiful and overwhelming gift I’ve ever received.”
Ten Help Hope Live clients received the gift of life in July.
For many transplant families, the gift of life would not be possible without community support—and that often includes financial help.
Since 1983, Help Hope Live has been dedicated to lifting the financial barriers to transplant through trusted medical fundraising campaigns.
Communities across the country rally to fuel hope – and thanks to you, our nonprofit is here to provide compassionate and secure pathways for raising funds.

Today is National Rainbow Baby Day—a day to honor the joy of welcoming a rainbow baby, a child born after a family has endured loss, while also acknowledging the complex emotions that come with the journey.
On this special day, here are meaningful ways you can stand by families who have faced loss:
🌈 Celebrate their rainbow baby with them, while being sensitive to the lingering grief and mixed emotions they may still be navigating.
🌈 Offer a listening ear and your support—sometimes, simply being present makes all the difference.
🌈 Encourage open and compassionate conversations about pregnancy and infant loss, helping to create a community where families feel understood and supported.

"GoFundMe can feel like a last option for people with large medical bills—but those who utilize public assistance will need to think twice before campaigning."
A heartfelt thank you to WHYY's The Pulse and Nichole Currie for sharing Patrice Jetter's powerful story. Her experience reinforces why Help Hope Live is a safer, more reliable alternative to GoFundMe for the disability community. Stories like Patrice's remind us of the urgent need for more secure and supportive fundraising solutions, and we are proud to be part of that crucial conversation.

One might say our August was "EVENT-ful!" From Abilities Expo Houston and a visit to our friends Shepherd Center, all the way to the Amputee Coalition National Conference, our action-packed August was filled with so many meaningful opportunities to connect with our community.
As our Director of Outreach, Sonny, explains, these visits make it possible to commit to spreading our mission in every way we can, digitally and through in-person connections. We are so grateful to the advocates and voices of hope for the disability and limb loss communities.
As always, if you or someone you care about is facing a medical crisis, we’re here to help. Apply online or learn how we’re different from other fundraising platforms.
