Speechless. My goal as an aesthetic surgeon is always to help women look and feel their best, and this patient in particular holds a special place in my heart ❤️

I’ve never been the type of surgeon to inflict my opinion on others (my staff always hear me say, “give the people what they want”), but breast implants don’t come without risk. Although the surgical community is torn about the clinical relevance/ existence on breast implant illness (BII), it’s hard to ignore, even in my short career thus far, the improvement my patients feel after explant.

Small implants, and even more so fat transfer, will now always be my preference.

🚨 Challenging case alert
This gorgeous 32 year old mom of 4 was in need of a revision breast augmentation/mastopexy (lift) that had been performed elsewhere 7 years ago. Her implants had been placed on top of the pectoralis muscle and had developed capsular contracture over time. To correct this, we performed:

✅ pocket conversion from over to under her muscle
✅ 560cc silicone implant placement
✅ durasorb mesh sling (internal bra)
✅ Full mastopexy

This 40 year old patient was interested in an upper eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) to rejuvenate her eyes! She also was treated with Botox to smooth out her forehead wrinkles and crows feet. This procedure was done with just numbing medicine and no general anesthesia!
