Proud to see my good friend Cindy Baddour Kenney has been appointed by Governor Roy Cooper to serve in my former seat upon my retirement. She will be a fantastic judge in all respects!!

To the citizens of Wake County -- Thank you for the opportunity to serve you as one of your district court judges.

Effective 2/1/2022, after 9 years on the bench, I have decided to retire and “go fishing.” I truly appreciate the faith and support you have given in electing me in 2012 and re-electing me in 2016 and 2020.

I love my job, and I will miss working with my fellow judges, the assistant district attorneys, the defense attorneys, and the support staff at the Wake County Courthouse and Justice Centers.

I am not for sure where this ship will sail next, but it is time.

Starting my 8th year serving our Wake County community as district court judge and making a difference. I love my job!!! I filed for re-election to serve another term and have no opposition--Happy New Year!!!

On Thursday, September 14, I was honored to swear all the recently promoted Wake County Sheriff's Office enforcement and detention officers and administrators at the Law Enforcement Training Center. Congratulations to you all!

On Tuesday, January 3, 2017, I was sworn in for another four year term as a Wake County District Court judge. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to continue to serve you, the citizens of Wake County.

I enjoyed attending La Fiesta del Pueblo in downtown Raleigh today. Talked with a lot of interesting people, the crowd was great and the weather was perfect!

I love my wife!! Her dedication and support is what allowed me to be all I could be! Law enforcement, law school, assistant DA, district court judge, but most of all, husband and father!

Happy to support the "NC 2 NYC Tunnels to Towers" fundraiser sponsored by the BMH Foundation and the Kiwanis Club of Holly Springs to send law enforcement, fire department, and EMS first responders to New York for the "Tunnels to Towers" race. While I'm hearing cases in the courtroom, my wife Val is working hard to get me re-elected on November 8th.

I am deeply saddened by the death of United States Supreme Court Justice, Antonin Scalia. Justice Scalia was a true constitutional scholar who held firm to his principles and interpretation of the United States Constitution. While he is gone, his legacy continues. Goodbye Justice Scalia.

I truly enjoyed serving as a volunteer judge with the Capital Area Teen Court last night. This program provides accountability for young people while allowing them to avoid the long-term consequences of a criminal adjudication. Thank you to the many Teen Court volunteers.
