💥 The POWER of Squatting! 💥

Adults seem to understand how important squatting is for physical fitness and strength. This is a KEY position for little ones! In my sessions, I frequently use squatting for the following benefits:
- Hip and Leg Strengthening
- Balance
- Postural control
- A position of Play

The squat position is an important position for many children to access their environments, and can also be used to build strength, balance, and further motor skills.

Have you squatted today? 🤔😄

October is PT Month! Let’s talk a bit about PT and why it’s so important to educate our families, friends and neighbors about its value.
🌟PT is PROactive, not just REactive in treating injuries and impairments
🌟We look at the WHOLE PERSON, not just the one area of complaint during evaluation and treatment, in order to give you care that LASTS.
🌟We are extremely knowledgeable in navigating the healthcare system and helping our patients know what other providers may compliment their care, or help get the answers that they need.

I don’t think this is spoken about enough. Pediatric PT *especially* provides a key role in communicating with other medical professionals, patients and families. We help to identify impairments that others may not see. This value is huge in providing comprehensive, well-rounded care!(hint: it’s not just about milestones😉)

So, this PT month, share the word. Have an ache or pain? Have a nagging question about your child’s development? Is something in your head telling you that your concern warrants further evaluation?

Reach out! We are here to help you!🌟❤️🌟.

One Year of Full-time patient treatment for Life in Motion Physical Therapy!🎉

This week, I am smiling as I reflect on the last year of working with the most amazing clients in their homes, daycares and schools.

I am so lucky that I’ve been able to treat patients without pressures of productivity, and rather focus on individualized goals and accomplishments for them! That’s what PT should be, and I am grateful.

Thanks to my referral sources, my amazing patients and families, and my wonderful family for supporting this practice🎉.

On to year 2🥰

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We love hearing from our families, because your option means everything to us! ☺️

Life in Motion PT is unique, because your child is unique.

Your child is more than a diagnosis.

Your child’s needs change day to day and week to week.

Choose a provider that is able to adapt based on the child’s needs, and the outcomes will speak for themselves.

There is so much data to support maintaining a multi-sport status and avoiding specializing in 1 sport alone…*especially* for young kids. Here are some numbers. The fact is that different sports require different strengths and demands from the body. Varying demands produce a well-rounded, strong athlete, who is less likely to become injured.

Happy Thanksgiving, from my family to yours!

I am so very thankful to the families that I get the opportunity to work with each week.

I always love inclusion. Good job, Disney❤️

For the first time in Disneyland's 67-year history, there are characters in wheelchairs being represented on the "It's a Small World" ride. Two new dolls were unveiled as part of a project by Disney creatives and the park's accessibility team. https://abc7news.com/disneyland-its-a-small-world-dolls-with-wheelchairs-inclusion/12444823/

October is PT Month! Let’s learn a little bit about us!

What do PT’s do?
- We evaluate
- We diagnose
- We treat
- We improve quality of life
- We decrease pain
- We improve function
- We support patients and families
- We collaborate
- We Care

Physical therapy is broader than many realize. After 15 years in the field, I enjoy the many roles I play as a PT, from the initial evaluation, to the treatment, to the relationships with patients and families, and the collaboration with other medical providers. We celebrate tiny milestones, and large ones too!

Have you or someone you know benefitted from Physical Therapy? Share your story in the comments!

This week marks *2 months* of solopreneurship! I had to take a moment to reflect that it has ONLY been two months, yet the personal and professional growth accomplished in that time is huge! I have been able to help my clients from the comfort of their own home or schools, all the while building an efficient business model that helps me balance work and home. Whew!😅.

I’m just so thankful to be on this path. I’m thankful to the clients, physicians, neighbors and friends who trust me to help their precious kids❤️.

✨Snuggles are one of my favorite job perks!☺️.
❤️Pediatric PT relies on building both trust and a genuine connection with patients.
💙 It is so important for patients to feel secure while tackling challenging skills.
💚Affirming words and baby snuggles often do the trick!

10/04/2022

Pediatric Physical Therapy isn’t just a job, it’s a passion. I sincerely care about my patients, their families, and their outcomes. I am SO very thankful to be able to provide care on my own terms now: without productivity requirements, or others dictating scheduling and other factors that an experienced therapist is better at managing independently.

✨Do you have developmental concerns for your child?
✨Does your child have a diagnosis that impacts their mobility, and you would benefit from an experienced PT to help guide your journey?
