From Sister Nataki Kambon: Today is my birthday and Father's Day. Father's Day has fallen on my birthday only a few times in my life. My brother and I share a birthday 2 years a part so it used to be a 3-way celebration. This year it is a lot to handle without Baba Kamau. Sharing this transcript to remind us what kind of man, husband, warrior and father he was. I have dozens of messages like these.

Transcript: "Nataki, This is your Dad. And I am just calling to let you know that today, a number of years ago, was the greatest day in my life when you were born. I am conveying this message with the deepest love possible. So, I hope to talk to you later today. I hope you are doing well on your glorious birthday.Nataki, This is your Dad. On Thursday, December 28th, Baba Kamau Kambon made his transition to become an ancestor. When someone dies, in Akan tradition, there are two essential celebrations that have to happen. There is a celebration of life one week after someone transitions.
On the 40th day, they make their transition to become an ancestor. Both celebrations are a part of the cycle for the spirit to ascend to becoming an ancestor. (I hope I described this correctly)
