Our Garden is in full bloom. Benefits of gardening include stress reduction, building self-esteem, increased problem solving, developing nurturing relationships, increased social interaction, responsibility, sensory stimulation, and the lessening of pain as well as the ease of emotional pain. Gardening appeals to all of our senses. The use of a variety of colored flowers encourages visual stimulation and provides appealing fragrances. The people we serve use their sense of touch to distinguish different textures with the flowers and the herbs. Developing better social skills, improving motor coordination, enhancing self-esteem, and acquiring job skills are just a few of the many benefits of gardening. The Arc of Harnett County
