St. Michael's Episcopal Church
St. Michael’s Episcopal Church is a vibrant parish located in the heart of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Our stellar music program draws musicians from all over the Triangle area. Our chapel programs for children ages 3-3rd grade provide age-appropriate worship in a safe environment. With more than 2,000 parishioners, we are committed to helping those in our community and in the world.
Almighty and merciful God, it is only by your gift that your faithful people offer you true and laudable service: Grant that we may run without stumbling to obtain your heavenly promises; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
We’ve got so much in store for you at our upcoming open house! November 6 + 7 | 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Spread the news to your friends and family!
Happy Halloween from all of us characters at St. Michael’s!

November 10 is Western NC Relief Sunday! Help us fill and deliver 3 vehicles of much needed material supplies to the victims of Hurricane Helene. The delivery is beingcoordinated with an appropriate drop-off location in western NC. Here's how you can help: 1.) Bring donations to the church! A list of appropriate items will be publicized soon, as well as drop-off instructions. 2.) Volunteer a vehicle or to be a driver/rider. We need vehicles/driver/riders to drive 3 hours west after church that Sunday, drop donations off, and then return home that day. Look for more information in the coming days in our weekly email and the Canterbury Tales.
Almighty and everlasting God, increase in us the gifts of faith, hope, and charity; and, that we may obtain what you promise, make us love what you command; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Dear Friends: As our joyous celebration of St. Michael's yesterday showed, we are so blessed to have a safe and vibrant Christian home here in Raleigh. And yet it is with great sadness that I am reminded how much suffering is happening at this very time among our brothers and sisters in Western North Carolina. I know we want to help them and do what we can to share resources. I have been monitoring the postings of the Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina on Facebook, and it it is clear the damage and need are great. Indeed, the diocesan offices are shut down, and many of the clergy and members of the churches there are cut off from communications. There is a special page on Facebook which is being used to communicate news and ways to help. As we have done in the past, we are directing people also to The Episcopal Church's relief organization -- Episcopal Relief and Development -- who have also set up a Hurricane Relief fund. Save the Date! On Thursday, November 7, the Church of the Good Shepherd will screen “The Philadelphia Eleven,” an award-winning documentary marking the 50th anniversary of the July 1974 moment when eleven courageous women and three brave bishops shattered the stained-glass ceiling by ordaining the first women as priests in the Episcopal Church. 6:00 p.m. Reception | 6:30 p.m. Film Screening | 8:30 p.m. Conversation. All are welcome. To reserve your free tickets, visit:

O God, because without you we are not able to please you, mercifully grant that your Holy Spirit may in all things direct and rule our hearts; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
The Band of Brothers gathered for their monthly lunch on Monday and celebrated Ford Worthy’s upcoming birthday! (It’s a BIG one!) How much do we treasure this centenarian? We can think of at least 100 reasons!
SAVE THE DATE for St. Michael’s first Trunk or Treat Event! Thursday, October 24 from 5-7 p.m. in the St. Michael’s parking lot! Church members, neighbors, friends and family are invited to trick-or-treat from trunk to trunk through our church parking lot. We will also have free pizza and hot dogs, games, and more! Grant us, O Lord, to trust in you with all our hearts; for, as you always resist the proud who confide in their own strength, so you never forsake those who make their boast of your mercy; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
